Phasmid Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 This has been uncovered and posted a couple times here, but thanks for finding and posting again! Easy to forget a lot. Would you feel comfortable trying it for your child?

dcmom Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Does anyone have the full copy? I am exploring Lyme/ multiple infections- but if we have no success- my next step is looking at something like this or low dose cellcept.
kimballot Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 This has been uncovered and posted a couple times here, but thanks for finding and posting again! Easy to forget a lot. Would you feel comfortable trying it for your child? I think Melanie has reported that she is (or was) using this with her son...
eljomom Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Ditto---would like to see the fully copy.....
EmersonAilidh Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 I'm glad to see all of the discussions about using new treatments like this!
melanie Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 Hi I would love to see the whole article too.Danny has been on celebrex on and off.I was thinking of putting him back on and this just assures me to do so.I always give a baby asprin with it.What dosage does this study say? Melanie
GraceUnderPressure Posted January 23, 2011 Report Posted January 23, 2011 I would be interested in trying something like this with naturals such as turmeric, ginger, resveratrol, etc. Not quite sure how high I would need to dose them though to achieve the same effect. Anyone out there doing something like this?
melanie Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 bumping this to see if anyone has the full text.I need to send this to my immunologist who prescribes this but thinks its for pain (no complaints about pain) UGGGHHHHH Melanie
fuelforall Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Be vewy careful. (in the words of Elmer Fudd) Google Celebrex and side effects. Just sayin'.
peglem Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 http://www.springerlink.com/content/b9b5771fedc198b2/ Maybe this could keep things under control- there are some side effects but much less than many other autoimmune drugs. I can only find the full text in German. But this researcher, norbert muller, has a ton of stuff on infectious/inflammatory causes of psychiatric disorders.
amyjoy Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 There are a number of herbal cox-II inhibitors that can work deeply enough for some kids as an anti=inflammatory (everyone is different) but worth a try. My favorite currently is Inflamaway by Natura, it really helps with tic/anxiety flares for my DS. I like that it also enhances overall health, immune and liver function instead of causing the side effects that celebrex and other nsaids can cause.
