One of my bestfriends, one of my ONLY friends at school, committed suicide on the seventeenth. She held on until she finally passed on the twentythird, but her parents didn't let anyone see her in the hospital. I left for Arizona on the twentyfifth & didn't find out until yesterday. I missed her funeral, but I do get to pay my last respects at a candlelight vigil on Sunday. I've never dealt with death before & I'm not coping well. Just wanted to say goodbye for a while.

I am so sorry.

Try to find a wise adult to talk to about this on a daily basis.

Take care of yourself- you matter to a lot of people!

We (the forum and our kids) need you to continue to show us the way.

Emerson, that completely stinks. :angry:

 

Can certainly understand if you need to take a break, but please don't "cut off" a source of continued support for yourself! Cyber-moms and cyber-friends will still be here when you're ready to return. Know that we're thinking of you and supporting you from afar.

I'm so sorry for you! This is so hard for the loved ones to comprehend, and so senseless....seek help even though you may not feel you need it right now. You are likely in shock at this point, and it may hit you in a day, a month, or a year. Please take care of yourself, you have already overcome so much, you are definitely a true survivor - but everyone needs an expert ear sometimes.

No words can express how sorry I am for your friend, her family, and for all those who loved her. No words can make you feel better right now. I had a good friend commit suicide on New Years Eve, 1999. (Y2K) One of my brother's friends also committed suicide a couple of years ago. It is so sad and tragic. I am here if you want to talk....just pm me.

Oh Emerson, I am so sorry for your loss. My brother in law committed suicide 5 years ago; it's a hard thing to cope with.

 

Take the time you need, but please find a wise and trusted adult you can talk with about this. When you are ready, know that we are here for you and care.
