JuliaFaith Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) Not sure what the entire protocol is with the ND, but with my son's low toxins (hair test) she has him using Detox Deodorant (Herbalix Restoratives~$20) on the bottom of his feet at bedtime. If he can withstand it, she recommended he put it on his underarms and neck. He also is taking CVE (BioPure~$65! 100% Chlorella vulgaris Extract-apparently easier on the stomach than just the plant). He takes 2, 10 mins. before taking his parasite meds. From another doctor, he is taking 3 UNDAS (6 drops 2xday) which helps clean out his kidney/liver. He has been doing this for the past 6 months which is probably why his toxins are all fairly low. His doctor changes the #'s of the 3 UNDAS every month. They are for stomache aches (2) and lungs (he was dx with mico and chlyam pneu). Also, taking rock rose tea (Cistus Incanus)a cup twice a day. Finally, he has been taking bentonite clay but I am thinking about leaving this out for now because I do not want any of his meds to be taken out of his system. He is not taking abx right now. He is currently taking Ivermectin/pyrantel pamoate for another 4 days (2-weeks). Then he will switch to Albenza for 2 weeks, then Alinia for 2 weeks. So far (cross our fingers) he has not had any herxing just more energy all of a sudden! Edited December 21, 2010 by JuliaFaith
Suzan Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I like the idea of the deodorant. I think that if it works, it would be good for my daughters especially. Thanks!

MichaelTampa Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I always like to hear what others are taking, good to consider the possibilities. Just as an FYI, the thing that I have done that has helped the most with parasites is avoiding (except for restaurants) eating onions, mustard, and garlic. These things have chemicals that are food for the parasites. I got this from a Hulda Clark book written about cancer (she believed parasites play a major role in getting cancer). Very hard to avoid completely without a major diet rework, these things are in so many flavorings, including ketchup and, of course, mustard. As I have not avoided completely, it seems that really limiting can be helpful. Dr. Klinghardt recommends Gamma Rizole and Zeta Rizole (also from BioPure) for parasites, and those have been very helpful for me as well.

Thank you for the information. We just happen to love onions and garlic! Good to hear you are working with Dr. Klinghardt, he seems be quite knowledgable and just a great person.
MichaelTampa Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Just for clarification, I am not working directly with Dr. Klinghardt. The information I have been using came from recommendations he made in slide presentation format, somewhere someone posted the slides, they were quite detailed and had a lot of interesting recommendations. This presentation is probably from a couple years ago now, so not necessarily the latest or his current thoughts, but still has been helpful for me.
lyme_mom Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I had ko idea about onions and garlic feeding parasites! I thought those things were good for you! I guess they are if you dont have parasites. I thought garlic kills bugs. Thanks for the info.
sptcmom Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Actually its the RAW onions and garlic that are good for you. Many cultures use them raw in salads etc and that has a great antimicrobial effect. The cooked version I don't know much about. Garlic is usually recommended as the raw freeze dried version and works fine. Capsules are available, the organic ones are from Biopure. Dr. Klinghardt does recommend Garlic as antimicrobial.Cayenne and other hot peppers are considered great as well as is a ton of sea salt. Ayurvedic treatments recommend those four for antimicrobial too along with Indian Gooseberry extract (Chyawanprash) and Tulsi tea for great immune support.
lyme_mom Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Thanks for the info. We take freeze dried garlic a lot. I did not know that cooked onions and garlic may not offer similar health benefits but it makes sense that something would be lost in the cooking.
