  1. My child is going on 3 weeks of bactrim and biaxin. Since adding the biaxin, she has complained of sore knees, legs, ankles and lower back. She is super lethargic. Is this herxing? I also have really sore legs, and lower back the last week. I am exhausted and can't get off the couch. I also saw a rash on my back that looks like the bartonella rash. How come we both feel this way I wonder. I thought perhaps it was the antibiotics for her, but why me??? Very odd. I put a call into Dr. Jones, but was just wondering.....

  2. I for sure am trusting them. I think they finally found out what is wrong with my child. Dr. Jones said we may look at IVIG, after we see how she responds to the Abx.

Just asking questions. She is looking pretty good except for the one thought she has ALL day long about not wanting to grow up. Doctor Jones has us seeing Dr. Bransfield in NJ, to see what he has to say.

  3. This is weird. I started treating my child for bartonella. Two weeks into bactrim and biaxin. Tonight I looked on MY back and I had this wierd rash. I googles rashes, and it looks EXACTLY like a bartonella rash. Could treating my child, somehow bring something out in me. I am also very confused lately (more than usual) tired, exhausted with bad lower back pain. Any comments are welcome.

  4. Lyme mom

is a book about babesia going to help me if she is possitive for bartonaella? arent' they differesnt? i will get the book if it is simialr. thanks so much. there were a couple of other books i want to get. i think one is "cure unknow" and i can't reamember the other one. is there another that would help with understanding bartonella?

  5. Ugh. They just don't believe my kid is sick. It's hard cause she LOOKS normal, but her brain is not. It is really hard to detect, but she is NEVER normal. Some of their comments want to make me vomit!!!

Man, it is hard enough getting this child well, and NOW I have to deal with this. Some tutors came to the house, and reported back to the school, that I am just a push over and the kid walks all over me. Ohmgosh, if I try to push this kid or dicsipline she get super aggressive. She is a a great kid, wants to learn but is sooooo sick. Anyway, I told them that their not qaulified to come into my house for a few hours and make this accessment. They don't know about tic born illness, or pschosis etc.... I WISH her whole problem was that I was just a wimpy parent. Wouldn't that be a dream come true for me!!!!

  6. before starting the bactrim and biaxin for the bartonella, she has some severe OCD. Some of it left, and SLEEP got so much better, but now she is obsessed with dying and being old. she researches all day long about how long people live. she asks over and over if she is old. she is so worried. She is not on full dose yet, and we have only been on it for 2 weeks or so. She is 12 and has been sick since birth. she also seems so sick and pale. am i too impatient? what am i expected to see at the beginning? please give me your thoughts. thanks. she just got over a steroid burst too, that may have set her back. is there something that i can give while waiting for the abx. to work. it is tough to watch her worry about dying all day long.

  9. went to the podiatirst yesterday since my girl has suffered from sore ankles for ever. took her years ago...but of course they said she was fine. anyway...the podiatrist asked if she had any infections. i said yes, bartonella and he looked shocked. i asked why and he said the ankle pain could very well be caused by this infection. i have read that somewhere, but i was not going to bring it up, since it seems whenever i mention my girls severe psychiatrid troubles being caused a tic, everyone looks at me strangely. i am so glad he said this. i like him already.

  10. I am touched. Thanks. It has been a torturous existence. These poor families. When my girl gets better, I plan on doing something to help these families cope. Not sure what, but it is my calling in life now! How we all suffer, and how we are looked at like we are crazy parents at times. Ugh!

  11. treating for bartonella with dr. jones. i really thing i am getting closer. again...thank you for hanging in there with me everyone. i know my girls symptoms were so out-of-this world. freaked me out, but i see her getting a bit better, AND she is starting to sleep. its a MIRACLE!!!

  12. Just wanted to say....that I was not trying to be disrespectful to Dr. Jones. I happen to think he is wonderful for what he is doing. I was just curious about what the law suit was about. Actually, I am glad I asked, so that I could hear evereyone "sing his praises." Really did not mean to stir up trouble. Not my intention at all.
