  1. she is not as aggressive as on the bactrim. i am able to get it into her which is amazing, since she gets violent with everything i try, but it does not help her with sleep. up till 3am every night staring at computer. just absolutely stuck. on the bactrim, she was starting to be able to get her self dressed and to sleep, but she was a bit aggressive. ugh! actually, i think i would take her being a tad aggressive instead of up all night with severe OCD. Cipro. does not seem to be touching much. anyone else have this experience?
  2. was cipro activating for your child and keep them up at night? does it get better after a couple of days?
  3. Doxy is helping me with flu like symptoms, but the brain fog and confusion is still really bad. Is there some kind of supplement that would help with this? I was thinking something in the "B" family, but would like your opinion. TU
  4. seeing some good progress. keeping my fingers crossed.
  5. My child started sleeping and showering on 1/4 of the dose of the bactrim and mino. Now she is on half the dose prescribed of the cipro. and mino. Is bactrim known to be more effective in the treatment of bartonella? Just looking for some other peoples experiences. thanks
  6. your child is on 4 abx. at same time. is it bartonella your treating?
  7. Can you tell me how long you saw herxing with this mino. and cipro. combination. I know every kid is different, but was wondering how long you saw it the herxing last before you gave up?
  8. Can you tell me what you saw when you first started Cipro? and what you saw overall on Bactrim vs. Cipro. Thanks.
  9. awhile back, we tried vancomycen for clostridia. my girl seemed to come out of her "stuck" world on this medication during the day, but at night her ocd was severe. everything her always looks worse at night. anyway...we are not having much success with the abx. we have tried lately and i was wondering if anyone ever tried vanco. in combination with anything else before and did you have any luck. any advice is appreciated. thanks

  12. Started my girl on Cipro. She is flopping around all night long. Anyone find this Abx. activating. Does it go away? DId not happen with the bactrim.
  13. can anyone tell me if there OCD or someone that they know of, has OCD so severe that they are stuck doing the same thing over and over all day long. they don't shower, can't hold a conversation, forget to eat or go to the bathroom??? my girl has been like this since a very young child. any stories and similar situations. thanks>
  14. What is "colloidal silver??".... and how is it given? orally, ivig??? i asked our lyme doc, about trying IVIG, and he said is could cause problems for a child with bartonella?
  15. tell me if i have this right??? when my girl keeps saying the same sentence all day long, counting the tiles on the walls all day and checking locks all day long, that would be called the compulsions, right??? and.... when she is stuck watching the same show over and over or stuck on a rock star that she likes ALL day and night long etclll. that would be the obsessions??? she was on the bactrim and mino. she was sleeping better, and was showering a bit, but still "stuck" staring at her computer. she walks around the house with it. Brings it to the bathroom with her. She does not go
  16. I am having a school meeting and need Dr. Bransfield's email of fax number before my meeting today. He is going to help me explain my child to this group of people that do not get this tic born illness. Anyway, I need his information for some forms i need to get to him ASAP. THANKS
  17. My girl had several EEG's that were abnormal, but not seizures. Doctors did not even prescribe medications until I asked for it, to see if it would help her aggression. Does anyones child have abnormal EEG's but not on medications. The doctor said lots of people have abnormal EEG's and are not treated. I am wondering how much of the abnormal seizure activity is linked to the tic born illness. Just wondering if anyone else has similar story with the seizures???? Thank You
  18. no. the psych. wants to try ability because she gets stuck on one thought all the time and you can't budge her to eat or do ANYTHING. He said the ability helps them to switch from one thought to another. I just keep hearing folks talk about nameda. figured i would mention it to him. the lyme specialist took her off the bactrim and boy, she is much better. i don't believe it was herxing. Mothers instinct. I think she was overdosing.
  19. can someone tell me what these two drugs have helped their child with. thanks!
  20. Dr. B., put her on steroids, but Dr. J. took her off and said they are bad bad bad for her since she has bartonella. I did what the doctor said to do. Thanks for all the support. Today is a better day. I knew it would be, after I vented to everyone a little!!! LOL
  21. the crisis is not ending because i am trying to stay the course and give each treatment time, since some people keep telling me it could be herxing. i am seeing two of the best doctors in nj. we had a horrid experience on steroids. all of our doctors agree she needs to be on the lamictal for abnormal eeg...we were on our way to ny presbyterian. she was going to be admitted and then we stumbled about the bartonella diagnosis. i don't want to give up on this treatment after just trying 3 months of bactrim and minocycine. her behaviors are not learned and all of the bad behaviors go away when
  22. she was doing well with the friend because her ocd seemed to be better, but like with all other meds, and supplements...it seems to stop working. her ocd skyrocketed and she started to annoy the little girl by saying the same thing over and over. there was no way my child could stop. she had no control over the thoughts. it was futile trying to help my child stop. her brain was taking over. i am wondering now, if i should call the mom to explain. i have not told her anything. perhaps she will have the little girl give the relationship anther try.
  23. dr.jones is lyme specialist
