  1. Thank you so much Wendy. Best wishes on your recovery!
  2. On a hair test my ds showed low levels of all vitamins even though he had been taking lots of them for months. He does have some magnesium in one of his supplements, but not much. How much do you use? He is over 100 lbs. I saw some "magnesium sulfite" that looked like epsom salt but larger flakes. I wonder if that would absorb and work well... Thank you!
  3. This was a very interesting article. We are seeing a Dr. in Klinghardt's office and Ivermectin was one of the first meds (after 2 days of biltricide and along with pyrantel pamoate) prescribed but I did not know why. Thank you so much.
  4. Thank you for your input. We are wondering if it is after some exercise of which he is doing just a little. Best wishes on your treatment!
  5. My ds13 is currently on lyme protocol treatment and has been doing pretty well with no new symptoms (or relief). Currently on Albenza (5 days left of 2 weeks) and other supplements. But at night he sometimes moves in his sleep almost constantly until early morning. Anyone had this happen?
  6. We were prescribed coconut oil (organic) for dry skin. My older son (was not prescribed to him) loves it!
  7. This was a great article for confirming ds current treatment. Thank you so much for providing it for all to read.
  8. Good healing thoughts going your way!
  9. Thank you for the information. We just happen to love onions and garlic! Good to hear you are working with Dr. Klinghardt, he seems be quite knowledgable and just a great person.
  10. Your welcome - so glad it can help a child!
  11. Not sure what the entire protocol is with the ND, but with my son's low toxins (hair test) she has him using Detox Deodorant (Herbalix Restoratives~$20) on the bottom of his feet at bedtime. If he can withstand it, she recommended he put it on his underarms and neck. He also is taking CVE (BioPure~$65! 100% Chlorella vulgaris Extract-apparently easier on the stomach than just the plant). He takes 2, 10 mins. before taking his parasite meds. From another doctor, he is taking 3 UNDAS (6 drops 2xday) which helps clean out his kidney/liver. He has been doing this for the past 6 months which is probably why his toxins are all fairly low. His doctor changes the #'s of the 3 UNDAS every month. They are for stomache aches (2) and lungs (he was dx with mico and chlyam pneu). Also, taking rock rose tea (Cistus Incanus)a cup twice a day. Finally, he has been taking bentonite clay but I am thinking about leaving this out for now because I do not want any of his meds to be taken out of his system. He is not taking abx right now. He is currently taking Ivermectin/pyrantel pamoate for another 4 days (2-weeks). Then he will switch to Albenza for 2 weeks, then Alinia for 2 weeks. So far (cross our fingers) he has not had any herxing just more energy all of a sudden!
  12. We are doing an on-line, free public school until my ds13 improves. He has been ill for 9 mos. (muscle aches, headache, stomache ache) and is currently being treated for lyme. The school is in most states and can be accessed thru K12.com. In jr. high it is 25% on-line but not sure about elementary. You have to withdraw from your district and enrroll in theirs. They send you all the books and supplies (pretty exciting getting it all in the mail). The lessons are on-line and in books that you receive. So far it is working fine. My son does whatever he can depending on how he feels and can do some work on the weekends, if necessary. He recently took a month off because of a PANDAS exacerbation and is working thru the holidays to get in those hours. Just the flexibility is great while he is healing. There is a teacher that has contact at least once a week and we can talk to her any time. Once he is feeling better, we can switch school districts and he can go back to his original school. Let me know if you need any add'l info. Best wishes for continued healing.
  13. So glad to hear your story! Have a great holiday season and best wishes for good health in the new year!
  14. When I first "view new content" everyone has a forum that is listed to the right of their subject.
  15. Forgot to mention that my ds dr. also said "his lympocytes are extremely high which could mean virus". A month later she retested him and they were fine along with while blood cells that had been low the month before. He had just been off abx for 1 week so not sure if that changed the results at all. Tried to mail you this but your mailbox may be full.
  16. I PM'd you an article that I saved on my computer about the CD57 test. Hopefully, it provides answers to some/all of your questions. Best wishes.
  17. Thank you for the info. What I was really asking was how to set my forum of choice to the Lyme forum. Right now it shows me in the PANDAS forum whenever I post. Hopefully, I asked the right question this time.
  18. Cannot figure out how to do this - any ideas? Do I have to delete my registration with PANDAS forum and start new one with Lyme forum? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
  19. Interesting comment about the HSA. DH plan allows us to roll it over to next year. Although, as of Jan. 1 his company is switching health insurance companies so not sure what the new plan will be like. Also, for mileage to be deductible, I believe you have to have a mileage log book which lists the starting mileage and ending mileage, along with date. Very detailed.
  20. I PM'd an article that I saved on my computer. Hopefully it goes through. I believe it has test result information that was interesting and surprising. It said that a low score can mean Lyme (Borrelia), Chlamydia pneu., or herzing. My ds # was 25! The Dr. said she had never seen one so low, but my son had been off abx for 1 week so not sure if he might have been herzing. She also said "she had never heard of chlamydia" causing low #'s. She had just diagnosed him with chlamydia and mico. right before we discussed his test results - go figure! Let me know if you do not get that article and I can try to send it another way. Best wishes.
  21. yes..i would like to know too....???? as i am on my own trying to challenge the dot blot test....and started my ds on andographis..and internal parasit forumula containing..cloves, black walnut hull, wormwood, milk thistle seed, wasabi extract and enzymes.... i don't believe my ds has lymes but unlike alot of docs..never say never... You know, my ds was diagnosed (by another dr.) with a parasite several months ago and went thru 3 days of meds. (expensive). Then was re-tested and he was then negative. I told the dr. this but she did not seem to have much confidence in the testing procedures or the length of time for treatment. Except for the first 2 days, all the treatment is for 14 days, so very aggressive! Have never heard of the treatment you are using. Good luck with your treatment.
  22. You ask some really good questions. A dr. in Klinghardt's office told me that if we did not do that sequence exactly right, the parasites apparently are smart little guys and change what they are doing. Something important here is that this is specifically put together for my son's symptoms thru ART testing so is very specific to him. If you can, I would find someone who has been trained by Dr. Klinghardt (I found many when I googled it), to confer with and get exact instructions specifically for you. Also, I would look at the date of the protocol you are following, because Dr. Klinghardt is always doing more testing and may have developed something that works better now. However, on the other hand, it sounds like you have been following your protocol for a while and may need to see it thru to the end. I have not seen anything exactly like this current protocol on-line but maybe with this additional information, you can 'google it' and find something up-to-date. Hope this helps somehow. Best wishes on your health.
  23. My ds has had stomache aches/headache/muscle aches for 8 mos. He also has a yeast infection. He was diagnosed with mico and chlym pneu & lyme. Here is protocol from dr. in Klinghardt's office. LAB Tests: KPU/Hair analysis/blood draw TSH, free T3, free T4, Vit. D 1, 25 and 25-OH, CD-57 (labcorp only) GI Inflammation: Ketotifen, Flora Stor, Bet Glucan, melatonin, lactoferrin Lung healing: TriQuench (in nebulizer), Ivy Calm, Pulmonest Skin rash: UNDA 270 cream, coconut oil Detox Support: CVE, Detox Deodorant (also doing clay, 3 undas from other dr) Nutrient support: Thorne Vit. K2, Selenium synergy, CORE, rock rose/cistus tea (for lyme treatment) Anti-microbial treatments: fluconazole, valtrex Parasite protocol (must be done exactly in order and on time to work-only 1 chance) FIRST 2 days only: Biltricide NEXT 2 weeks after Biltricide: Ivermectin, Pyrantel pamoate NEXT 2 weeks after Ivermectin/Pyrantl: Albenza NEXT 2 weeks after Albenza: Alinia Have not started the parasite protocol yet. Will start in another day. This is where the herxing could start. Here we go...
  24. Cannot believe it but my ds12 was just diagnosed with lyme. After being sick for 8 mos. and not reacting to abx or steriods it seemed time to explore the lyme testing (before doing IVIG). Thank you to all the parents encouraging the testing-you are truly angels. One of our dr. had already tested with the Western Blot and was convinced that was not it. So, when looking at the IGENEX testing at $1100 I decided to call a LLMD and see if they would recommend the test. The ND (lyme speciality) recommended we spend the $ on treatment and a few inexpensive tests since lyme may or may not be hiding in the blood. The first visit was expensive but ds was started on some things to get started while testing was done. A month later after hair, urine, & blood testing he was diagnosed with lyme, mycoplasma, & chlamydia pneumonia. The hair/urine tests were $155 total with insurance paying for the hair test so far. The protocol for this dr. office (Klinghardt) is (it is on internet) to treat toxicity first, then parasites, then lyme (something like that). Because our other dr. had already done a good job with detoxing we where able to skip the first part (hair test showed low toxicity). We are now just starting working on lungs/rash/yeast/viral/parasites. My son also has had rashes and a yeast infection going on. When I asked why so many kids with PANDAS have lyme, dr. said that most of us have lyme and when other health problems come about, "it rears its' ugly head." Have to go for now. Will come back on and post more on protocol when I get a chance. Take care.
  25. We've been using it for the last year while DS has been on antibiotics. It's great, especially with respect to the fact that it can be dosed at the same time as antibiotics because the abx doesn't kill it, and because it's very effective against diarrhea that the abx can cause, too. "FloraStor" is our favorite brand, found behind the pharmacist's counter. just trying to be double sure..... i asked at herbal store i go to...they said don' t do that....i asked as i heard you can and it is very difficult to get all the supplements in during the day... giving at the same time doesn't create die-off... it doesn't waste the abx by wasting its time on probiotics as opposed the other bad bacteria.... i would really like to dose this at the same time too...just very hesitant.... We are on our 2nd month with the SACCHAROLMYCES BOULARDII+MOS (5 billion) which is the same ingredients as Flora stor. We could not find Flora stor either so they recommended this and it passed the ND testing (not sure how it works) with flying colors. It is the Jarrow Forumula.
