Question, I don't know if this would be too complicated. Should we ask (at least on this forum) who is defineitly using the Survivor strategy and assign these people what submission to vote for? We don't have to assign all remaining 9 of their votes, but that way we make sure our supporters are getting some votes in and continue to vote for us? It may also make the voting process easier for some when they just have to cut and paste from an assigned list.

Refresh the Research! Vote Project PANDAS!

I'm thinking some of those group with 1000+ comments are roll overs from last month. They roll over comment too. -
Huh, I never thought of that. Let me think on what you said. I didn't have 2 cups of coffee yet and I'm still in brain fog:) Different topic, but we really need to brainstorm more ways of getting an influx of votes. We had an influx of highschoolers yesterday which is awesome. I will give them a shout out thank you tonight on the page. They're at school now so they wouldn't see it if I did it now. I have been emailing like crazy, posting like crazy, but we need more. Any idea of who else we can contact or any other ways to get more votes?

Thsi is the link to the flowchart PANDAS Flowchart http://www.latitudes.org/forums/index.php?...ic=6688&hl= Here's also a link to OCD as witness by PANDAS parents... http://www.latitudes.org/forums/index.php?...ic=6153&hl= So, my first question, again, is if he is on antibiotics, which one and for how long now? Also, you can try Ibuprofen. That eases symptoms for some kids.

It's a very hard feeling to overcome . "I'll play one more minute. Maybe if I play another minute, I'll get to the next level. One more time". It's a huge circle. I'll give you my honest answer. If it was me, I'd probably pull it out of the house. You will have great anxiety, but hopefully it will lower over a week or so. Whatever way you decide to conquer this, do it at a time whan you are strong enough to tolerate the anxiety from your son and when nothing big is going on in your life.

Those astericks are pepsi's automatic bleepings. Example "all of the" will look like "all o* ***". Look at what the omitted letters are. It's funny you mention using the animal acronym to our advantage. For a moment, I thought the same:)

OMG! That is disturbing. it sounds like he had some OCD himself and he became obsessed with "curing" people at all costs. Thank goodness for antibiotics. -
Welcome. First I apologize. I did not read all responses. Here are a list of possible behavior /personality changes one may see in someone with PANDAS... When one looks at the separtion anxiety, we normally see it through the eyes of a child and how a child needs to be around their parent. But, in your circumstance, I can see that manifesting in the relationship with your ex-girlfriend. As for your memory, a few PANDAS kids, including mine, have that tape recorder memory. He can rewatch tv show in his mind. One thing I want to ask is in refrence to you mentioning execrise so many times. Is that becasue you like the way you feel after you exercise or maybe because (and look outside the box on this one), you overly criticise your body image? Here are some thread for you to read. There are PANDAs adults on this forum. If they have't responded yet, hopefully they will chime in with some advice. When we were forming the submission, we debated about photos and/or a you tube video. For a few reasons, we passed. We are unable to alter our submission now. However, I do like how the text is laid out. Some submissions look choppy and you really have to scroll down to find the text. I think what we have is good.

Thank you to everyone who is voting and passing the link on. We can do this! Also, take a step back and not only look at the votes we're getting but look at the number of people we're educating. This is awesome! http://www.refresheverything.com/PANDAS -

One article blamed Freud for haulting the idea that infections can cause mental illness. Whomever brought up the abx point...I was thinking the same thing. They would have had even more success in their study if pen was developed then. That's probably why some died (lack of abx). -
Can we get 15 to commit votes? Do we trust them?

Actually there was another article printed in 1896 in Scientific American Mind entitled "Is Insanity Due to a Microbe". 2 docs describe how they injected cerebrospinal fluid of mentally ill patients into rabbits, which later got sick. The docs concluded that certain forms of insanity could be caused by infectious agents. I can't find full text for that one. -

I wonder if others are doing this and that's why they state that they just gave us 10 votes

I looked through the FAQ page and the application guidelines page and I see nothing about being a liason for votes. So, in my opinion, there is nothing against it as long as the person authorizes the use of their email address. After the voting perod ends in May, there is about a 2-3 week lull in between the end of the voting period and finding out who the actual winner is. I don't know what kind of auditing is invloved. So, I would at least make sure they agree to giving their address and voting. If anyone wants to look at those sections and make sure I didn't miss anything, that'd be great. They're at the very bottom of the website.
