Hello, i am new to this board. I have a positive mycoplasma pneumonia. I was bitten by a tick and got sick two years in a row. I took 2 doxys a day from my regular doc all this past summer before finall finding an LLMD. The Dr has only run the first round of test at local lab. He says the next ones will be more accurate, but clinically diagnosed my with chronic lyme and mp. Although being sick with every symptom imagineable, I havent had a cough or chest congestion to this day. I feel almost fully normal again after taking zithro, mepron, and monocycline for a month. My problem is every time i get up. To do something even mildly considered movement, i start sweating and have to lie back down. Ive been this way simce April. I feel pretty good, but its so much sweat, i cant get anything done. I was just wondering if any one else has had severe sweating? I dont necessarily think its all herx. Its driving me nuts! Have you been tested for Babesia?

For adults or pediatric? There is a pediatric LLMD (Dr. C) in Chester County, PA. I don't have any personal experience with her though. I can pm you some names in NJ for adults (again, no experience).

Glad he is past the side effects. In my opinion I would at least skip the first meeting. Again, my personal experience. fwiw- my daughter vomited on the third day post infusion (with severe headache) last time around. So still keep up with post treatment.

Oh no. I just remembered you're not supposed to take antacids the same time as zith. I started dd on 1/4 tablet of zith daily this week, and have been giving the alka seltzer gold an hour later.

On the box it says to give 1 tablet if under 12 (she's 11). It must've helped some- she was willling to drink it a second time without coaxing (unlike her). Don't have Stevia to add yet. I think I noticed some improvement, lasting a short few hours. Did you use it more than once a day?

When using Alka Seltzer Gold for detox in a child, do you give 1 or 2 tablets? My dd is 11 yrs and around 70lbs. I gave her one tablet yesterday and today. Thanks.

We are attempting to add zith to dd's amox. On Sunday we gave her half tablet (125mg) which caused a herx (increase in nausea, headaches, overall not feeling well). We skipped Tuesday while I called her doctor. Wednesday we started with 1/4 tablet daily. She feels really yucky - def. increased nausea. I'm thinking of trying the alka selter gold - found it at cvs today. Can you give while dosing with Motrin? It has aspirin in it. Did you use Pepcid and alka seltzer at the same time? anyone? thanks

My daughter's nausea went away for almost a year while on a combo of abx for lyme treatment, unfortunately when she stopped the abx the nausea returned. We haven't been able to get her back on antibiotics. She's only on Amoxicillin and it does nothing for the nausea.

Thanks, Linda. We've done numerous stool tests from Quest but none match that code. The one's ordered for dd regarding yeast were fungal stain, ova & parasites, culture yeast w/identification, yeast culture w/direct fluorescents. I'll check again. btw- our quest gives us a plastic hat to obtain a stool culture (sits under the rim). You may want to ask, if you have to do another sample.

maybe i'll see if my daughter can tolerate the gold mixed with stevia & lemon.
