  1. Patty, I was wondering which alternatives that you are doing that has helped the asthma as my son has that too although very minor. Has it helped with the tics? I know that my son used to wet the bed and since this all began that has completely stopped. I dont know if it is the treatments that has helped, but somewhere and I have searched to try and find it and can not, but I read that sometimes bedwetters are low in magnesium. I was trying to figure out why tics began, wetting stopped. It all is crazy, but I would sure take the wetting back over this.
  2. My sons hair analysis showed high aluminum. He rarely drinks soda, so I am looking into different pots and pans. I am debating between anodized aluminum- which says does not enter food, stainless steel, etc. Any suggestions on what will help/not harm? Thanks again.
  3. Thank you so much for your replies. I was thinking of adding to my sons vit. regimine, but am just nervous to add since this has just all began and I am not sure what is or is not working. While looking up JP on the computer, a negative article about it said it was 85% corn syrup which I thought was a big no no- again I am new to all of this. So, I guess I will wait and possibly add it later. I am just so unsure about putting anything in him these days. Scared to-but scared not to, so I will wait and see. Any more info on this would be greatly appreciated as it seemed to be a great add in-all natural fruits and veggies.
  4. After spending time with family today, my aunt was raving about this new product she is selling called' "Juice Plus" and everything it has curred including MS, cancer, ADD, etc. She is selling it so she is excited, but I was wondering if anyone has tried it and had success? She said it is all natural freeze dried fruits and veggies that could be used with vitamins. Any info?
  5. Hello. I was wondering if anyone had used ATTENTION by liquid health? I have heard of one parent who had good results. When I looked at vitamins, etc. it seems to be a fairly comprehensive blend.
  6. Thank you. I was wondering how things went from 9-12? Were the tics mild? Ours began quite stongly and there was some stress in our lives so I was hoping that might be why. Not much, but his best friend had just moved. I was hoping it was a transient, but more have entered the picture and I am feeling like maybe not. I am just worried that they will come back strong again, but they have kind of mellowed for a month and I have started him on Kids Calm. It has been crazy. In the last 3 months we have taken him to UCLA hospital, neurologist, psychiatrist, pyscologist, alternative Dr. who did hair analysis, accupuncture, allergy testing and phone consult with Sheila. We have taken away Game boy, went drastic on diet, and now started supplements. They are somewhat minor, although I am wondering if it's because they are just not annoying-fist clenching, toe curling, flicking of tongue-hard to recognize but by me. I dont know if I should just see how it goes or continue. The hair analysis said-need calcium, magnesium, taurine, and multi. I am doing calcium in addition to kids calm, but am scared to add more. When I gave him Flax early on he broke out into rashes. I started him on multi, but that is when the tongue started so I stopped. It is still going. Thank you anyone for input. I guess I just needed to tell what was happening and see if anyone can offer input.
  7. Hi C.P., Thanks for the earlier response. I notice the kids calm has no calcium, shouldn't it have calcium (the 2:1 ratio) to magnesium? Do you supplement the calcium seperately or do you not worry about it? CP-I was wondering about your story. When did your son begin to show signs? How did he do through the 10-12 years? My husband has had some tics since I have known him. Very mild though. My son has recently Feb. began doing tics and I am having trouble keeping it together for fear of the future of the progression.
  8. I was wondering about the dosage for kids calm. I started my 8 year old on it. I have moved him up to 1 1/2 teaspoons and his seems to be doing ok. Not loose only very occasionally. That is all he is on currently. He still tics some, but it is not noticable. Is that too much Kids calm? I thought he needed over 250 mg. When I lower the dosage I see other tics coming in.
  9. Ok, I guess I am not sure. I had an alternative (does acupunture, herbs, and allergy testing of some sort) do an allergy test and she said he was only allergic to grass, flowers, and dust. I was looking to get the most accurate test done in order to help with tics because I had him on an elimination diet and it seemed to help somewhat, but I wasn't sure. I had eliminated so many foods (dairy, wheat, corn, apples, etc.) that I am not sure if and what would help. I just want a throrough food and environmental testing-allergy and sensitivity done. It sounds like many rely on the Alcat so I was considering that, but the environmental Dr. that is in our state does IgG so I wasn't sure which would be better. Thanks.
  10. Hi, I am new to the forum. I just have one question. I would like to get my son tested for allergies and was wondering which test is best. Is it Alcat or IgG or are they the same? Thank you for your help.
