I need to try hollistically to kill this bartonella. Can you tell me some supplements that are helpful to do this? Also...do I need to see a hollistic person to do this??? Any advice is helpful.

Is IVIG ever used for getting rid of bartonella????

Hard to get this child to eat most times, so that I can get D3 into her. Is it okay to give without food? Or does it not work then? thanks

I have tried so many things to get my child better for many years. Every medicine and supplement made her worse. We treated for clostridia and vancomycen and it helped a lot. We also did some black walnut oil and it also helped a lot. Just wanted to throw this out there to help. It has been the only thing thus far that has given her any relief.

i have treated over 2 years for lyme/bart. with no relief. i tried black walnut oil for parasites and she started to poop (she was in emergency room all the time for rectal prolapse because of severe constipation) and sleep. is there a chance parasites could be her only problem. what kind of doctor would you recommend. my regular g.i. looks at me like i have 3 heads! thanks!

I went through the same thing. After being in/out of school 3x's I homeschooled. I could not keep up with the daily stress and it was a nightmare for my child, who wanted to control herself and have friends, but could not. Now she is homeschooled where I can watch the reactions to the drugs/supps we try with her, and her chances of making a friend are better too, since not one of the girls would pick her as a friend, because of her issues. Now I can find a friend here and there and have quiet play dates, or not (if she is too sick) I just had no other choice. She was just too sick at the time and we really did not know what was wrong. She learns quite well on her own but needs complete quiet, which doesn't happen in school. She is much calmer and feels safe now. I hope this helps.

I want to give walnut oil at bedtime but that is when i give probiotic. Okay to give both together? thanks

Finally...we have some hope. Started our girl on vancomycen, and we were able to pull her away from the computer. She was "stuck" in front of the computer all her life. If you took it away she would be so agitated and confused that her agression was over the top. She would just spin and have racing thoughts and bump into things. Anyway...vanco. is helping. We were still left with NEVER being able to fall asleep and NEVER pooping. Well, amazingly I threw in some walnut oil for parasites (the one thing I never treated for) and she started pooping and sleep looks a bit better. Ugh...it's been a long 13 years. Ok, so she has clostridia, parasites, and I think herpes virus, since i have been giving high doses of lysine and she stopped hallucinating. She also broke out in tons of ingrown pimples. So I am thinking she had the herpes virus. I know all of these things are opportunistic and are usually the cause of something bigger going on. I am thinking it's the bartonella. My question is, could she have been damaged by the hep. B vaccine at birth? Or is the hep. B. Virus considered opportunistic too. I am looking for the main culprit in all this, because if I don't treat it...the clostridia will keep coming back, right. Any suggestions? I have done Andy chelation for two years and didn't see any progress, I thing becasue clostridia is so bad. I could use some help. Thanks

Ugh. You poor thing. I have a very similar situation. My nerves are shot. Things that have helped for my girl...treating with Vancomycen and Amphoceterin for clostridia. Adding walunt oil for parasites. Upping probiotics and keeping yeast under control. She is off the antibiotics for a bit, since we didn't see any improvement. We will try some other combination after treating clostridia. Good God, I hope things get better for you!

My daughter had the racing bombarding thought since she could talk. Almost 12 years now. Lamictal does nothing. Vancomycen and Amphtecerin for Clostridia helped a little. It is horrible. We tried so many things. I think someone once suggested Topomax. I thing we will try that next. Prozac made her mean and agitated. Ohmygosh...these poor kids. We have not tried IVIG yet.

I think I remember that you can not give vancomycen with an antibiotic. I wanted to add goldenseal but doctor is not around to ask. Goldenseal is considered an antibiotic and I am not sure its ok? Anyone know the answer to this question? Thanks so much.

My girl is currently on vancomycen and we hope it helps but I would also like to have a CT scan done to see if there is anything else going on. She did have an xray but I think a CT scan would show more, right? She has been in the ER several times with rectal prolapse from pushing and I want to cover all bases. Thanks

Michael Tampa - can you tell me what other treatments your are talking about for parasites. Vitamin Shoppe has something called paragone. Have you heard of it. There is also somehting by Gaia that I can pick up today. Any suggestions?

That's the thing. Don't know it if's clostridia. Treated once for this and meds. made her too sick. And also the test for clostridia keeps coming back negative then possitive the negative. We are going to try medications again, but I am hesitant because nobody knows for sure why so constipated. She has horrible reactions to medications, at this point I really have to feel comfortable with what I try, ya know?

Dee Dee - have you tried the sundown prebiotic yet? if so....did it help?

Spoke my child's doctor (One of the top LLMD's) and he said....my child shows serological evidence of exposure to lyme B. and Bartonella H. as seen in Igenix western blot, on IGG positive band number "30" as seen up above. Just wanted to let you guys know. Ugh!
