Susan you tell me what natural path you will be taking and also if you did just Doxy or another abx. With this?

someone mentioned that doxy is ineffective if a person has had lyme for a long time. i am going to check it out with my child LLMD. if it is true...I am thinking about going with a chiroprator here in town that treats a lot of friends of mine for various things. any advice or tips before i go..../???

I was actually test and diagnosed from a PANDAS doctor in Conneticut. He started me on the Doxy and told me to find another doctor (specializing in Lyme) I then found this infectious disease doctor who said she believes in long term abx. but after my visit, she said that she would not prescribe Doxy again since I have been on it for 3 months. She is doing tons of blood work, because she said I must have something else going on, since the Lyme should be gone after the length of my treatment. Ugh!!! I am not sure if I should now see someone who will put me back on Doxy or someone who will try something else. I am thinking of going to a chiropractor, but the one I know of is going to push lots of vitamins and stuff. I don't know if I can keep up with it. I have a very sick child and an even sicker husband. Not too much time for me, ya know? I just need to figure out who to go to....

i was on doxy for 3 months. are people on this even longer than 3 months sometimes?

i really don't eat right and though a vitamin would be a wise thing to do. i have lyme also.

is there an advantage to putting your child into a hospital with a lyme specialist on board to dig deeper into what is going on?

I don't have the money or time to deal with my Lyme right now . Was on dozy for 3 months and felt good but now I'm off and I need something over the counter for fluish symptoms I have and brain fog. I did a "search" for ideas but found nothing. any suggestions and thank you.

doctor j. said this is one of his worse cases. she is non-functioning going on 12 years. no life at all. he sent us to psychiatrist have to try to get some relief for the OCD. it would (in my opinion) be criminal, to keep her sooooo agitated and locked inside this ######. i will try anything at this point!!!! it is sickening to watch her suffer. ugh!!! the whole family in non-functioning.

does anyone know if anyone at columbia sees children?

She needs something. The bactrim and mino alone are not really helping much right now. Been with it around 4 months. Dr J. Says she needs psych. Drugs too. Just following doctors orders. Can't figure it out in my own. Too complicated of a case. Can't really get near her because of her severe agitation. She is extremely ill. Getting her out of house for any kind if therapy requires me to bring along a body guard. Just losing hope over here.

She can't get dressed or decide what to eat. She rolls on floor in a ball of confusion when trying to find the right socks. I know she has severe OCD, but is this confusion thing sepetate??? It's debilitating!!!! What drugs woould the psychiatrist try for this in your experience??? She is on Prozac mino and bactrim right now. Thanks for any help!!!

saw a new lyme doctor (infectious disease person) and she said stop the doxy that i have been on for 3 months. she said if it were lyme that were causing all of my symptoms it would have been gone by now with being on doxy for that long. she is doing extensive testing for something else going on. she also said my child could not have gotten her lyme/bartonella from me at birth. my child could have symptoms from me having lyme, but she can not get lyme/bartonella passed down from mother in utero. this is different than what i have been hearing from other sources.

Psychiatrist said since she flips and gets worse with most medication and sups. that we should just keep her at low doses of things. She is currently on a very low dose of the Bactrim and Mino. Seems to be helping a bit with keeping her asleep (after she is ABLE to sleep with a ll of her horrible rituals.) Has anyone ever just done low course of abx. because of this reason? Our lyme specialist agrees with psychiatrist, but he would LOVE to see her full dose. He said a little is better than none at all thought. Thoughts?

My child use to be just in a comatose condition. Stared at TV all day and didn't remember to eat or go to the bathroom. When she did come out of her trans, she was impulsive and just spun in circles with confusion. She was diagnosed with bartonella, and we have her on the antibiotics. I was just wondering if "severe confusion" is often seen with the "OCD". Just wondering if her OCD is so horrible that she can't think staringt. Anyone have this same thing??? or would you please give me some of your thoughts? TU

oh yes. it made my girl bounce off the walls and get really violent. it was bad, but it helped with sleep in the beginning. she is being treated for bartonella and lyme. we have her on bactrim and minocylcine.

I was diagnosed with lyme from an allergist, Dr. B. he is treating me with doxy. he wants me to see a lyme specialist. my regular internets said he will treat me. can u tell me if this is a good idea? i have been on doxy for about 3 months. my guess is i need a lyme speciaist but thought i would ask ur opinion.
