philamom Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 My daughter has an appt. with Dr. J in 10 days. Her Immuniologist prescribed zith 250 daily for her lyme diagnosis for nine weeks. Next week will be the 9th week. Do you think I should take her off the antibiotics now so Dr. J can run any labs needed at the appt?

Lyme can get worse if you go off the antibiotics and you don't want that to happen. He can still do many tests while on antibiotics. Its the symptoms that matter most anyway so don't worry about being on antibiotics for testing.
philamom Posted September 11, 2010 Author Report Posted September 11, 2010 In preparing for our upcoming visit with Dr. J, should I send him my daughter's entire file (including PANDAS info and Psychiatric evals) since she was very young, or just the recent labs (Igenex,Quest) and info. from past 18 months, when this latest episode begun?
NewBeginnings Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 I would send the whole file so he can look at complete history. He may not need it all, but better to have it all if needed than not have it if needed. My son and I were both on Abx for testing for Lyme and co-infections. I wouldn't stop abx. Good luck at your appt!
