Who are you, and what have you done with my son!?

Prednisone is working wonders! My son is on a 30 day tapering dose, starting at 40 mg./day/week. Even in the midst of an extemely stressful move which includes temp. separation from Dad, he is fine! I have never seen him more relaxed. The biggest news.... (drumroll)... he lifted the toilet seat for about the second time in his life! I think he never could touch the toilet seat before? Also, he got a new skateboard yesterday and I took him to the park to ride it. I suggested riding around the pond, where he would be out of my sight for a few minutes. Normally, this would not be an option. He said "great idea" and took off. Other stuff too, but small stuff. I love prednisone!!!

I love prednisone!!!

 

Yes, it's a miracle drug for us too. Too bad it can't be a long term treatment. My son is a very different kid after a taper. It gives me a glimpse of the awesome kid trapped inside.
