Celiac and PANDAS

I have seen a couple of posts where kids seem to have both Celiac and PANDAS. Forgive me if this has already been covered since I am new to the forum, but can someone explain if there is an established link/relationship between the two conditions or if this is just a coincidence?

My son was on the celiac borderline. The gastro doc thought there was a slim chance he had it, and to pursue the pandas dx before revisiting celiac. Dr. Latimer told us that often kids with pandas have other autoimmune issues because the system is out of whack and that is probably why his bloodwork showed possible celiac. At some point I will probably get the celiac bloodwork redone to see where he stands now.

i know that celiacs have been associated with seizures...

and some theories out there that tics are like constant little seizures
