laurena82 Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Might be of interest to some: currently, foods are labeled if they have some common allergens in them, but corn is not included, and often "disguised"to those not familiar as things like citric acid, etc. There is a petition being started asking the FDA to include corn in the allergan declarations: http://www.change.org/petitions/view/tell_..._protection_act
Chemar Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 excellent! and most definitely needed... we will be signing it as my son has realized that even tho he has never tested allergic to corn, yet it seems corn products aggravate his Crohn's. We have been astonished at how much corn is being added to food in disguised forms!! thanks for the post
