mar
Hello Everyone, When I originally had my son do the spit test back in October I right away noticed the strings and cloudy water. We have been cleaning his diet and going yeast free since Jan 1. I did the spit test a couple of days ago and now it doesn't show the strings but instead starts showings little things floating around (hard to explain) and the water does get a little cloudy. It seems the spit break apart and makes the water a little cloudy. Is this a good difference then once we saw initially?? Mar
Chemar
Hi Mar as far as I understand yes, that is a sign of improvement we did blood and stool tests initially so the DIY spit test was something I learned of later but here it seems to me to indicate that when the strings are gone and you just have the specks floating, that is good? http://www.natural-cure-alternatives.com/c...-spit-test.html as long as things are going well on the diet, maybe keep going a little longer just to be extra vigilant to get all the candida that book we used, The Yeast Syndrome by Walker and Trowbridge, has a four phased diet to get one thru the stages of yeast eradication, with more foods being allowed back in gradually over each phase, after the initial strict elimination first phase are you seeing any improvement in overall symptoms? Have you noticed any worsening from possible candida yeast "die off reaction" that can often happen in the "worse before better" that results when the dying yeast releases toxins? Thanks for the reply Chemar! I am definately still going with the diet. I also though the difference in the spit test was good but still believe it needs to be better. I do have the book you mentioned just have'nt gotton a chance to read it yet. It is on my list of things to do. Overall I do notice a difference. One major change is that he does not roll on his head anymore nor does he want to be on the ground all the time. This has basically not happened since I started. Yeah!!! Very excited about that. In December with the holidays he had things in school wether it was a sucker or cookies. He would just come home and lay on the kitchen floor at times. I would know when he had something. Pretty crazy. He snuck things several times towards the beginning at school and I tell you I could just look at him and know he had somthing. Anyway he has improved on not cheating at school. His tics have gone away or I should say have been very, very mild throughout. He tells me that he always seemed tired and that his bones used to hurt and that has gone away. So he actually feels better and wants to stay on the diet. The achyness could have been due to fall allergies so it could be a coincidence but I'll take it. Sorry I have to run to pick up dd... Chemar
Mar even if you dont start the book from the beginning for now....flip to the 4 phases of the diet and look at the list of allowed and not allowed food over the 4 phases. that will give you good idea on best things to eat and how to reintroduce the others also flip to the recipe section. We developed some of our fave recipes from some of those and still use them as we so enjoyed them
