what steroid and dose does Dr K prescribe?

Hi,

Could someone let me know what steroid and dosage does Dr K give to all his patients. I have an appointment this afternoon with son's DAN doc and would like to get a prescription to try. He just started having sudden increase in tics for the last 2 days.

does your child have tics only related to the PANDAS infection(s)? or is there a chance that he has Tourette Syndrome?

 

if he may have TS, do be careful about doing steroids as that can cause a spike in tics for people who have TS because of the effect on dopamine by the steroids

 

just a caution I always put out as altho I know how very beneficial the steroids have been for many PANDAS kids, the TS alert does need to be mentioned just in case

My younger son is clearly a PANDAS kid because the symptoms started 3 weeks after a strep throat last year. I was very hesitant with IVIG and steroids too and waited this long.

I think you would need to have your doc call his office

so he can tell him the right amount,

but he is gone untill Monday
