Betty04
Hi, I am considering trying L-Carnitine for my son's vocal since many posts have stated success. I wanted to understand why it is helpful for tics and why it may be more helpful for vocal and not motor tics? Anyone have an understanding of the possible mechanism? Thanks! Chemar
it's an amino acid why it helps some people for tics and why specifically vocal is not scientifically documented as far as I know here is iHerb's Health Enclyclopedia Info on Carnitine
powerofprayer
Is it just the L-Carnitine or the Acetyl L-Carnitine that can be beneficial for vocals?? Is this the same amino that is suggested for eye tics as well??
Chemar
most prefer the L-carnitine as some react to the acetyl...but we have also had members here report the opposite...so again, as with all supplements, it is trial and error
