Guest Guest_efgh
Thanks. But, I read a lot of articles on the advantages of iodised salt for thyroid , autoimmune problems, mental illnesses etc. Any thoughts?? Any specific reason why you choose UNiodised salt? thanks. Chemar
We get enough iodine from our multivitamin, so I prefer not to have more from the salt. The Hain salt is produced from evaporated sea water.
Mustang Carole
HI, My 2 cents here.......I so not salt any food, but if I have to , I try to alternate the 2 types , the celtic sea salt and the iodized. DAN DR prefers the former, the sea salt for his patients. Mustang Carole
Claire
Chemar/Mustang Carole, What is wrong with regular salt? I know that health foods use sea salt, but I never knew why. Are there metals in the table salt? Claire

Guest Guest_efgh
Claire Table salt sometimes contains flouride which is generally not recommended though its found for dental caries. Other than that, table salt may contain food additives like Potassium ferrocyanide which is a by-product of coal gas production with very low toxicity.. In spite of this, many doctors recommend table salt due to the iodisation since iodised salts are supposed to good in many ways.. So, one has to maintain an intelligent compromise.. I have now started using Special sea salt which contains natural magnesium as well. Hope this helps.
