dee45
Hello, I am sure this as been answered before, but for those on prophylatic antibiotics are using probiotics as well? Thanks everyone. Deanna
peglem
Yes, but even with that my daughter developed a pretty severe yeast infection 2 years ago. She also takes nystatin 3x/day. The probiotic that works best for us is S-Boulardii. Regular probiotics give my daughter horrendous gas (painful, too).
EAMom
We normally do...however trader joe's has been out of the type we use the last couple of times I've been in. No yeast problems fortunately.

bronxmom2
I was speaking to a mother recently who claimed that probiotics really helped her son's behavior. I never thought of probiotics as linked to behavior-- just thought of it as a way to counteract the antibiotics' effect on the tummy-- but now I am more careful to make sure he gets the probiotics.
