New carpet?

Has anyone seen a reaction from their kids when they have gotten new carpeting? I have been putting this off for years but it has to be done. OUr carpet is de-laminating and it's falling apart literally at the seams. It looks good on the surface but underneath it's a mess! So, we're having new carpet installed next week. That means lots of dust, chemicals, etc. so I was wondering about reactions you may have or have not seen?

We just removed our really old carpet and replaced it with hardwood. I didnt notice any change in my tics or anything even under heavy construction if anything the tics were less, but im a werid one my tics just appear and go away then appear again at unexpected times. Im sure youll be fine.

new carpeting is considered to be a major tic trigger because of the chemicals released into air.

 

I know their are eco/people friendly paints and woodwork around now so feel sure there must be carpeting that doesnt exude the toxins

 

but yes, new carpeting has been found to trigger tics for some

Well, we're canceling the contract for the carpeting for other reasons so I guess I don't have to worry about it right now. Thanks, Chemar, for the heads up!
