bmom
I was just wondering, I am not sure candida is one of my sons problems and we dont have our DAN doc app until Sep. Yet I want to help him now. He is extremely light sensitive-screens, sun, and sometimes inside light can cause ticcing. I bought Candida clear and was wondering if he does not have it, would there be anything negative to taking Candida Clear. What I mean is, if it is not his problem, which I dont know, would it be bad to give it to him-increased ticcing etc.?
peglem
I don't know what exactly is in the Candida Clear, but an often overlooked issue with yeast killers is that they also kill off the good yeast. (just like antibiotics don't discrimminate good from bad bacteria) So, IMHO, its okay to use the yeast killer-just about everybody who has had much in the way of antibiotics probably has some yeast issues. But, a few hours after administering the yeast killer- give S-boulardii, a "good" yeast that helps keep clostridia and c-difficile in check. Chemar
the manufacturers of Candida Clear, NOW, claim it is formulated to synergistically balance intestinal flora, and to aid in the detox process KEFIR is an excellent source of good bacteria and yeasts
Chemar
bmom have you done the spit test to see if candida may be there? it isnt scientific but anecdotally seems to have high rate of accurate indication of yeast's presence tho a negative may not mean candida isnt there http://www.1stcandidacure.com/candidatest.html

Greyhound
Oh crap,I completely forgot about this I bought some Candida Clear and have taken three tablets so far. I have now got a headache and a sore throat - I hope this means that it's working and I hope the side effects will go away before the weekend because I'm meeting from TS friends off another forum for the first time. But...I completely forgot about the S-boulardii Should I stoped taking the Candida Clear until I've got some? Where can I get S-boulardii from? I get mine from Kirkman's labs. I can't find it. EDIT: When I search for S-boulardii, it keeps coming up with 'brewer's yeast'. Is this the same thing with a simplified name?
faith
bmom, did you wind up giving the candida clear? How can one tell if it is actually doing anything positive, if you don't have any physical symptoms to watch clear up? How long would you have to take this? This is a hard one to give if they can't swallow pills, the taste even mixed in something sweet is awful! Faith

By the way I meant I searched on Google, not Kirkman Labs.
Chemar
Greyhound...why not just try Kefir?
bmom
Faith, My son did the spit test and it seemed fine so I didn't give it. He has been in a waxing cycle for about 9 weeks and I realized that I have been giving him many new things to try and help. I decided to go back to Bonnie's alone and see if we can just help from there.
Greyhound
Greyhound...why not just try Kefir? Because I can't get hold of any, but I've got hold of something by Solgar from a local shop which should help
Greyhound
I've been taking three capsules a day of Candida Clear, plus one of acidophilus and I did another home test this morning which was almost clear! I don't *feel* any different though
