klm
I just feel so completely overwhelmed. I feel like I have researched for hours and still don't know what to do. My 7 year old has had a mouth stretching tic for a couple months now. He also does a mild finger flicking thing. I want to start him on magnesium supplements. I just don't know what, where to get them, or what dose. There seem to be so many options that I am confused. I don't think he needs the calcium also because he has a good amount in his diet. I was thinking on giving a magnesium supplement in the am and then something like Kids Calm before bed. Every couple days I might give him an Epsom salt bath. How does that sound?? What kind of magnesium should I get? thanks so much for any help! Kristen
Chemar
Hi as long as the magnesium supplement is pure (ie no bad fillers or artifical colors etc etc) most are ok except for mag oxide which is poorly absorbed The Natural Calm pure ionic magnesium powder is preferred by many here as it is fast acting magnesium citrate, tho it can have a laxative effect if too much taken. The Kids Calm is a multivitamin/mineral liquid ...it used to be a children's version of the natural Calm but they changed it some years back Epsom baths can be taken nightly and really can be very beneficial
