cara615
We saw Dr. Fier's assoc on Saturday. She agreed with everything that I suggested to her and has written a script for my on to stay on azithro until schools out. We just need to monitor, yeast, good bacteria and liver function (which we are doing). My son is doing great. Tics are slowly but surely resolving. However, this past week in school he had a 20 min episode of motor tics (sucking in his cheeks like a fish and turning his head to the left every 5 seconds) and the teacher was worried. Then she received a call that a girl in the class had strep and was taken out of school. When I got my son home, he was fine. Crazy right? Exposure to strep will get him ticcing. Unbelievable. cara615
Thanks ladies. So is my son 100%? No, and will he ever be? Who knows. I am just taking it day by day and hoping to never experience another flair. But only time will tell. Who is going to the Feb conference in Atlanta? I will be there with another PANDAS mom from our school. I hope to be able to meet some of you!
3bmom
Glad you were able to make the connection. We found flying did it. The immune system does its job by revving up and unfortunately for our kids the brain gets "friendly fire". What conference?
