Hopeny
My friend's DD8 is starting up a new flare, OCD and anxiety. She is currently waiting for Drs appointment with some reluctant support from ped in the interim. ASO/Dnase was normal but Mycoplasma was +. She was + for strep six weeks ago, took Augmentin. I recommended she use Motrin but as we have not used regularly was not sure what the dosing schedule was. Ped gave five days of Zith but unsure how to treat Myco, I recommended she discuss combo of Augmentin and Biaxin which worked well for my DD. What Motrin dosing schedule do you find effective? BikeWP
I would like to know as well as far as dosing goes for Motrin. My DS 11 flare is real bad right now and we don't return to see his doctor for a few weeks.
pr40
one of pandas drs suggested three times a day the dosage written on the ibuprofen. so, our dd9 is taking 200mg 3 times a day. but be especially watchful for liver problems. we soon went to 1 a day bc dd had nosebleads and exacerbation was not as bad. philamom
I don't know why, but my dd seems to do better with advil than motrin. Both are ibuprofen, so it really shouldn't make a difference.
Hopeny
Thanks Philamom how often do you give it?
philamom
I'm using it more for headaches than a flair per se, but I do notice some improvement in overall symptoms as well. Using it once or twice a day - its been ongoing. Thanks Philamom how often do you give it?
