Canned goods & soda - metal leached into food?

Can the metal leached into canned foods and soda? Should one with tic avoid canned goods to avoid metal?

Seems I read something recently about the seams in cans leaching aluminum or lead?

 

High acid, like tomato juice etc. was mentioned as being the worst.

 

There was something bad about the vinyl lining in some cans too.

 

I was thinking I might just start having the family graze in the back yard, but that wouldn't work because of all the pollutants in the air, and I'd be too worried about possible ecoli
