Cum Passus
Chemar, I rememberd you asked me if my sons integrative Dr. had done TS before, I never thought to ask her I thought I was going to her for whole body approach to health. Anyway my question is she said we should be drinking raw milk. I know in the U.S. you can't get it unless you own a cow. What do you think? Is this something that for nutritional reasons is better for the body. Or anyone out there own a farm give there kids raw milk? Just wanted to know if this is worth the trouble it sounds like it is going to be. Thanks C.P.

Just wanted to know if this is worth the trouble it sounds like it is going to be. Thanks C.P. I don't know what state you're in, but, here, you can get raw milk without owning a cow, but it's very hush-hush. What you do is somehow find someone who is currently buying raw milk & prove yourself to them first. I can give you typical avenues for finding raw milk buyers if you pm me off-list. OK, so after they know that you're not a legal officer, they will often share with you the farmer that they are buying raw milk from. Then, you buy a "share of the cow," meaning you own a little part of that cow. This way, they can sort-of legally sell you the raw milk. The thing is, these farmers take this VERY seriously. They are absolutely 100% confident in the value of the raw milk vs. grocery store milk (and I tend to believe it, too). But, the Dairy Association takes it VERY seriously, too, and they are the most aggressive lobbyist group I have ever seen when it comes to seeking out & eliminating these independent farmers. Kinda scary, IMO. That's why it's so hush-hush. It's not illegal, per se, when you own a "share of a cow," but just recently an Ohio raw-milk farmer got completely shut down because the Dairy Association claimed that he had caused one person to get sick from the milk. One person?!?! When everyone else who drank the milk was fine?!?! And they looked nowhere else in the person's diet except the raw milk?!?! It's crazy to me. Here's a link from the Weston A. Price website that explains the benefits of raw milk: http://www.realmilk.com/ I don't drink it, because I don't like milk. The little I use milk is usually in my morning coffee. So it's not worth the hassle to me. I just wanted to let you know what to expect. I was uninformed when I started researching it, and I posted on a couple local boards asking about it. Well, the raw milk buyers won't touch those types of posts with a 10-foot pole. Good luck!
Chemar
Hi we only use organic milk but not raw milk I know raw milk is healthy IF one knows what the cows are being fed, their health, living conditions etc.........but, because those factors are unknown in most cases, I would be somewhat cautious about it..it is the same reason I shy away from animal organs in supplements........this is my persoanl opinion and I realise that others may disagree. Guest
Chemar, I'm looking into raw butter after being on coconut water kefir for a while as it's encouraged on the body ecology diet. What about Oragnic Pastures raw cream/butter? Any thoughts about them? http://www.organicpastures.com/ What about local dairy farms that specialize in raw milk such as these? http://www.realmilk.com/where3.html#ne Carolyn
Chemar
Carolyn I think if one can safely get it from a source that is reputable and clearly organic etc then it is better Honestly, the best food is the food that is least tampered with by modern tech stuff however, we also do have to just ensure that the "whole" food we are consuming isnt filled with whole natural yuck either
