colleendonny Posted August 17, 2012 Report Posted August 17, 2012 DD5 has been on 600mg Augmentin 2x per day since December. We have also in between done about 3 months total of Azithromycin and 2 steroid tapers. We see Dr. B, and while we do love him, sometimes I feel like we have ask for tests without him mentioning them. We just went last week, and did some blood work. (Which by the way, the kids blood was left out allnight, because no one picked it up. So now, we have to get lab orders, and get the kids blood taken yet again.) We ran her ehrlichia titers, along with C3D immune complex and a CBC and her asialo gangliosides. What else should we be testing for to make sure the abx are not doing any damage? And tests for yeast? Thanks

AmySLP Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Just ask for Liver enzyme testing. Dr. B ordered it once for us and then I asked for a repeat again on next visit and he thought once a year was sufficient. I had our ped. Order them the last time. Every 6 months seems to give me more piece if mind. Edited August 18, 2012 by AmySLP
philamom Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 (edited) Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (which includes liver functions AST/ALT), CBC (does not include liver functions - not with Quest anyway) Edited August 18, 2012 by philamom

Candida Albicans AB (IGG,IGA,IGM). I would probably run a stool test as well. These both can be done at Quest and in our case were covered by insurance.
