fightingmom Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Interesting!!! I know I recently noted that I saw selenium in a supplement i already have - I need to look through my home pharmacy and see what it was in! Thanks for posting this.
trggirl Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Someone posted recently about a Selenium/ Mycoplasma connection. I found that interesting.

Fixit Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 What haven't i looked into? i will try to find again the things i saved and i was very interested in Selenium but noted several places you can over do it and should stop after x amount of time. give for only a short time. but i find the first paragraph intersting. i bought a couple of different types and capsules so i could put in my ds' food or drinks. i'm sure i never used it more than a week or so and probably not at the dose they may be talking about. may have to reinvestigate. this isn't one of the original thing i looked at but too much not good? http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-1003-SELENIUM.aspx?activeIngredientId=1003&activeIngredientName=SELENIUM http://aids.emedtv.com/selenium/selenium-side-effects.html unless they are finding new science on this?
dut Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Hi - yeh, Dr Garth Nicholson (the dr that's associated mycoplasmas with gulf war syndrome and done lots of work on m. pneumoniae and other variants of myco) has said that you can't fight myco without adequate selenium.... 1 brazil nut, supposedly, has enough selenium in it for daily intake not sure if it has all four types mind you but an easy fix if a child can and will eat nuts....

DS19 takes 1 per day. Prescribed by holistic chiropractor who muscle tested him.
