pixiesmommy Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Since taking Nystatin 2 days ago... any ideas? Calling dr as soon as they open. Feels like someone spinning me end over end.

sf_mom Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) I had dizzy spells prior to treatment.... It is a symptom of Babesia. I also have dizziness/nausea with treatment again but its milder. I suspect your Dr. will want you to back down on protocol. Edited April 15, 2011 by SF Mom
mama2alex Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 When you start Nystatin, you may have sudden yeast die-off. For me, yeast die-off causes headaches, but I suppose it's possible it could cause dizzyness, not sure.
pixiesmommy Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 I didn't take anything today except my thyroid meds. Still waiting to hear back from the dr. I switched from Doxy to Minocycline, which was supposed to DEcrease my nausea, but I think it INcreased it. Also just added in Azith for the high ASO titers (which created even more tummy upset) and then the Nystatin. So, I'm not sure which is the culprit, or if it's the combo of things, or just a herx. Whatever it was, I can't live like this. I had to call DH home from work before he even started the day because there was NO WAY I was going to be able to care for the kids- the room was literally spinning for me and I couldn't keep my feet. I also had a weird breathing thing- maybe a tic? I was breathing short little gaspy breaths- it actually woke me up- and my pulse seemed fine, so don't know what was going on. It felt like a panic-attack almost. It came and went over the course of a couple of hours. No chest pain or anything scary though. I'm still dizzy, but I was able to eat dinner and feel more stable. Thanks for the replies!
mdmom Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Your breathing issue sounds like "air hunger," a symptom of Babesia or Bartonella, can't remember which one. Hang in there.
sptcmom Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Air hunger, dizzy spells are all basically neurotoxin/biotoxin symptoms. babesia, yeast die off, bartonella all produce biotoxins. two mechanisms one is - biotoxins will increase the thickness of your blood which will cause decreased blood flow to the brain or for me what happens is decreased bloodflow when I suddenly stand up from laying down- messes with blood pressure regulation. This can cause dizziness amongst other things RX : I use a warm compress around the neck to increase blood flow in the carotids and that helps children and adults. For about 5 mins only. Eating a snack is also helpful. Two is:- Yeast die off releases yeast bound toxins like heavy metals and spirochete carcasses into the fluid stream of your body. Nystatin is heavy duty anti yeast and should be used very carefully. Diflucan has some antilyme action too and should be preferred if allopathic treatment is desired. Otherwose oil of oregano (ADP tablets) are very potent and work just fine. metal binders like microsilica are very useful. So is Chlorella if cost is a factor. It is very important to correctly SEQUENCE treatment. One can't go ahead and peel away which ever layer one feels like peeling next. There is a gentle way of doing this. Many docs prescribe anti yeast too soon and I've seen some pretty sad reactions in kids that come to my practice looking for a holistic way out of the herx reactions as a result. Detox and drainage is the key. KMT biocurrent works very well too as does focused cold laser therapy if you have access to that. Many LLMDs are using blood thinners for this very purpose when prescribing ehavy duty herx candidate meds. There are natural gentle blood thinners available too. Just talking from my experience. pixiesmommy Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 Thank you. I'm betting, then, that it was the Nystatin. I'm still recovering today- 3 days after taking the Nystatin!!!- but I took it 4x/day! Still haven't heard from the dr I have a bottle of Diflucan I never started, maybe I will begin w/that and see if that causes the same reaction. I definitely have a Candida problem- I have the rash down my arms and legs and am craving sweets and carbs. Thanks again!
pixiesmommy Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 Also, curious about the natural blood thinners, since I know already that both Pixie and myself have circulation issues (and this the livedo reticularis.) He was wanting to do a test for this before putting us on blood-thinners, but it is costly.
sf_mom Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 I too am interested in natural blood thinner... We have the same problem.
sptcmom Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 I too am interested in natural blood thinner... We have the same problem. Biopure Rechts Regulat.Read a lot and use wisely. Increasing fermented foods in diet is another natural way of doing it. rechts Regulat is that and more. Lots of fermented ingredients. Do check for allergies as always. Dr Klinghardt told me inspite of Ds's treenut allergies, this wouldn't affect him and it didn't. I do ADP for yeast for DH and myself. Jodie
