Okay, so I just noticed my log in date and realized it's been two years since my dd(9) been dealing with this episode (not even sure if I should still call it an episode). And of course she's had a few other major episodes since age five, which for the most part, resolved with abxs. And before that, she's had minor symptoms with many sinus infections since age 18 mths, that also resoved with abxs. Anyway, I remember the day in March 2009, when we were driving in the car and she told me she was again having unwanted thoughts in her head (I was already beginning to notice) and I pulled over the car, put my hand on her leg, and said "don't worry we will get you some medicine (abx) like we have before and everything will be fine". In a way...it feels like yesterday!

I know it's the same for many here, actually much worse...but I'm sooo tired of this. Oh well, sorry to share...

On a strange but kinda funny note - my daughter is obsessed with Steven Tyler. She's in love...eewww. Pictures all over the place. I remind her that he is probably close to the age of her grandma. Why can't it be Justin Beiber (lol). Okay, I probably had pictures of him too, when I was her age...so like mama - like daughter!

DS went down the Aspergers path at 22 months of age and has been thru so much with major sensory mtor issues, lack of coordination, poor hand eye coordination,OCD, motor tics,IVIG, a million useless diagnostic tests invasive and noninvasive until we started treating fro Lyme and co infections since then. Since DS went thru A.R.T. and we had a much better idea of what his body needs its been many many bumps but overall an upward swing in all areas.

He is no longer Aspergers (nowhere on the ADOS and otherwise). I researched and started four new protocols with him a month ago to help with a major herx which no one seemed to be able to give me an answer incl his lLMDs. Went holistic, Klinghardt plus homeopathic (Energetix remedies)and by God's grace it worked wonders. We have him at 100% for over a week now. Completely took us by surprise but am hoping and praying this lasts for poor little DS after 6.5 years of suffering.

So, Philamom, there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel. You're doing all you can for your little girl, I know that. with moms and kids having Lyme together and being treated at the same time, its so much more challenging but things have no choice but to improve.

I will be focusing a bit more on myself. Just started acupuncture and physical therapy for myself in addition to other RX.

I am replying mostly so you can look at my membership date and have company. Have had similar conversations with my DS8 - don't worry, honey, we'll go to the hospital (for pex) and you'll get better. Don't worry honey, we'll do 2 days of IVIG and you'll get better. Don't worry, honey, now your disease is called lyme and if you take these 10 pills every day, you'll get better (oh, but you'll feel like crap for about a year or so first). Sometimes I can't believe my family continues to believe in me and doesn't just lock me up instead - lord knows it would be cheaper!!

As for Steven, look at the bright side - 1 - you can tease her mercilessly about this in a few years and 2 - he's much safer than having a crush on the boy across the street!
