dd10 has been treated for lyme since December, and the only herxing we see is really tough days in the middle of the week, usually Wednesday. Lately I have been upping her bentonite clay capsules (up to 5 now) and for the first time she has (suddenly appearing) warts on her legs, larger than a pimple. She has about 8 of them, and they came out of nowhere. Is this detox? Herxing?

laure- do you think it could be molluscum contagiosum?

I'm not sure...I guess we'll watch and see. Thanks for the suggestion, I've never heard of it!

My daughter had molluscum for 9+ months before it finally went away. There were a couple of threads on it...you could try the search box, if you need more info. Of course, it could just be a herx??

I was so hoping to find out it could be a herx because I have one that just appeared on my hand. My dd's have both had molluscum contagium although it's been a strange road for us regarding these bumps. dd8 has had some on her arms that just won't go away. I thought I was doing well no getting them after 2 years but maybe I finally have them now too, I don't know. I've always thought the bumps were related to their pandas/lyme somehow but I don't know how.

My ds8 got molluscum c. when he was around 3 and the dermatologist said that it was common in toddlers because of their immature immune systems. Which made me wonder since he was between 3 & 4 - not 2 - and he is my child who I believe is borderline PANDAS/PITAND (anxiety that developed following a mycoplasma-type infection last summer)

So at least this much is certain: mainstream med regards it as a bug that shows up when the immune system is not up to par.

After watching it for a few hours, she itches them and they break and then go away, but she says they have been on her chest too, which I remember, but they were much smaller (although many more in number) and they disappeared quickly too. We got a picture this time! Could this be a bartonella sign? She did not test positive for that, but had a spider rash once that I did not get a picture of, which went away over night. Hoping this is good news...

Grace under Pressure- My dd got it at age 5-6. It was couple months after her first major onset of symptoms. I also was told it was related to her immune system.

Laure- I wouldn't be suprised if she has Bart...very similar to PANDAS symptoms (neuropsychiatric/behavoral).

I don't think molluscum would disappear after scratching them...it usually makes it spread. It's been a while so I sort of forget. Sounds like something else though.

laure -- after about 4 mths of TBI treatment, i got a classic bartonella rash on my upper leg. it lasted less than a week. interestingly, i had been trying bentonite clay around that time. i've wondered if that drew it out. i didn't like the bentonite -- it seems like i am the only one -- it gave me a empty hungry gnawing feeling in my stomach and gave me diarrhea. i was also on some homeopathic detox so i don't know if it was just too much.

i also got bumps on my legs like you are describing a few years ago. they itched and seemed to have a head. i had been kneeling in grass watching friends run a race so i attributed it as a reaction to that at the time. i now wonder -- along with many TBI symptoms that i had written off as something else.

The bumps are still there, not multiplying and not shrinking...but she is actually saying that she feels more "sick" lately, in that she was doing better in school, but in the last week or 2 she can no longer sit in other chairs, use any other desk but her own, sit in certain spots on the rug...the old contamination OCD stuff coming back again, even though she takes some 25 pills (abx and supplements and detox stuff) a day. She also had her first bad cold in about 8 months this week, which is in it's 6th day now. Maybe that is contributing to the problem? My husband is losing it with her many times a day. Between this setback and the snow I am feeling so so sad... we don't see Dr. B again for 2 weeks, and waiting anxiously for Dr. J first visit May 11th. Why is this tindamax and augmentin and zithromax not working suddenly? I was so hopeful in January when she improved so much.

Maybe because she has a co-infection and its taking predominance. Potential new exposure 'recent cold'. Also look up Coxsackie photos and see if it looks anything like the bumps pictured.
