kimballot
This new article looks like another move toward the "NEW" disorder, In here they call it Acute Postinfectious Movement and Psychiatric Disorders in Children and Adolescents I can't get the full text yet... but I am dying to read it! I can't wait to see what their "standard diagnostic approach" is. Maybe they will recommend actually testing to find out what caused the fever in these 4 cases and then treat the underlying infection? Here's the brief abstract http://jcn.sagepub.com/content/26/2/214.abstract

GraceUnderPressure
Heh - I have trouble remembering what exactly the PANDAS acronym stands for, but at least the acronym itself is easy to remember. I sure hope we're not moving to APMPDCA or worse yet APMaPDiCaA. Medicos are almost as bad as lawyers for their ability to make things more complex instead of simpler!
