Bigal Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Several people have mentioned Epson Salt baths in various posts. Are they thought to actually reduce tics? Or is it just something to help relax your child? Thanks Alan
Lynn777 Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Actually both! It is relaxing, but it is also magnesium & is absorbed quickly and easily through the skin and therefore can reduce the tics. It also removes toxins from the body. In fact, there are actually many believed benefits. Here is one of my favorite articles on it: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/health-benefits-of-epsom-salt-baths.html# We use the baths all the time! Good luck.

There is also the sulfate side to epsom salt, which can also be helpful to some kids.
Bigal Posted January 15, 2011 Author Report Posted January 15, 2011 Thanks Lynn and CJ. I'll try to get him in the bath.
