Before I call my pediatrician and talk to her about looking for hidden infections...what tests should I ask for ?

If your child has been on a lot of abx in the past or recently, I would also look into intestinal infections (yeast, bacteria, etc.). A regular ped may not go along with it, but a good place to start is this test by Great Plains:
