Iowadawn Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Hello to all from a burr..zy Iowa! I'll make this short & follow up when I know more. All the IGeneX WB's are in on the rest of us and it appears we all have Lyme specific bands of some sort. We see the Lyme doc for Evan on Monday, so will take all of these along and see what he says and then go from there. As you may remember, our PANDAS son was dx with the 3 B's in Sept and then I was, too. We have all been struggling with incredible strep titers, also. Our 16 yo dd (adol PANDAS) had her ADB skyrocket back up to 5440 (again) after a round of clindamycin earlier this fall, when it was staying at 378/780. She has struggled with "feeling" well mentally & physically. Very functional, but I have seen her when she has done well on abx, so am looking fwd to seeing how the lyme tx will help. Will keep you posted. Dawn
philamom Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Dawn- WOW...very high titers! Please keep us updated. Sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but hopefully now you will all begin to feel better! Melinda
NancyD Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Oh geez! That's a lot to deal with, Dawn. I really hope you are getting to the bottom of everything now and can get your family healed soon. Please keep us posted...and wishing you the best! Nancy
sf_mom Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Dawn, So glad you unraveled this for everyone. You may have seen my post about my husband's strep titers going up as well. His Lyme results were inconclusive so we are loading him up at the end of January and retesting for DNA. They think something is preventing him from resolving strep. It could be mold or toxin's but I think, they think most likely Lyme. Hang in there.. party next year this time when everyone is doing better!!!! The fog has lifted for me and didn't even know I was living in a fog. -Wendy

KeithandElizabeth Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Hi Dawn: I still remember the night when you posted all of your ASO/ ANTI- DNASE B titers. I was packing to go on a family trip and I was so flustered for you about your ASO titers that I just kept walking in circles around the suitcase. Well, now I think you have your answer and I think that you will be amazed at the recovery of your whole family once you start treating for lyme and its coinfections. Elizabeth
Iowadawn Posted December 16, 2010 Author Report Posted December 16, 2010 Hello all- Thanks for the encouraging words. I will keep you posted. We see the lyme doc for Evan on Monday and will know more after I take the IGeneX tests for the three others. When our whole family was on HD Zith for a month in March b/c of the high strep titers I remember how well we functioned as a family. It was great for a month. I'll let you know how Monday goes. Dawn
PacificMama Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Dawn, Glad to hear that you are putting the pieces together -- I'm sure it answers lots of questions for you regarding your family's health. It may be a bumpy journey, but at least you are all in it together! And headed in the right direction. Mary
