Rowens1214 Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 i just started my 15 yr old DS on GSE for yeast. he has been on abx for 6 mos. and his dr. recommended this just last friday. She gave me a liquid. i am to put 10 drops in juice etc each day for yeast. sounds easy right. well he has had HORRIBLEEEEEEEE RAGE and mood swings. would it be working so soon, ( removing yeast) nothing much has changed for him. ( full moon) he has been off the charts and its soooo hard to deal with his anger when he is 6'`" and weighs 180. He has thrown the remote at his Dad and TV the last 3 nights. He swears at me ( mom) and his Dad and brother. He is basically just mean and misable. i have been giving him probiotics for 6 months. He also has been on a low dose of nystatin for 3 months. we have not had a die off reaction in the past but I have never used GSE. any input would be great. i hate hiding in my room with my 7 yr old when he gets home from school. help. Chemar Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 Hi is this grape seed or grapefruit seed? if the latter, do be advised that it can seriously interact with some medications! I may be unaware of the info, but have never heard of grape seed used for yeast? Only ever heard it used as an immune booster/antioxidant? eradicating yeast can cause die off reaction so maybe that is what is happening?
pathfinder Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 Wow !!! That is exactly what happened with my son after he was put on liquid grapefruit seed extract for 2 or 3 weeks. He was on other supplements as well but they were something that he was on for a long time so I believed it was GSE that did so I discontinued it. My son has had something like anger problems but nothing like it was then. I don't know if it was GSE that triggered my son's rage but it was mycoplasma P that was making my son consumed with unreasonable rage.( test result) Clindamycin took care mycoplasma p at that time but I am keeping some biaxin with me at all time in case it comes back. It was one of the most scariest moments of my life so I know what you must be going through and my heart goes out to you. Does your son have any physical symptoms( like difficult swallowing or swallowed joint) that are going on with his rage?
