Such a crazy disorder! So DS7's tics were flaring up over the last 1.5 weeks and we were wondering why. No one in his class had it and others had since school started and no reaction. Well low and behold his brother 5 started running fever on Sunday and we took him in first thing Monday to get him tested and he is positive for strep. Last night DS7 felt the need to wipe over and over before bed and this morning informed me that he likes things to be even and asked me if I knew he thought about that all the time and wondered if I liked things to be even too when I was little. So hear we go again!

 

I am hoping to get into his Immunolgist soon to see what might be next. So sad

I'm sorry to hear about your setback. My son too, is the proverbial canary. Sometimes I think that's the hardest thing for others to understand is how they can react even when they don't have strep.

I witnessed this recently, too. DS5 actually experienced HALLUCINATIONS on the day that DS2 went into severe exacerbation and next day positive for strep. I didn't fool around, I put both on abx and I started one myself b/c I had a sore throat...

Hope you can get things under control soon! My one year old had some kind of fever/sickness (not sure if strep) and it's sent my PITANDS dd9 into a tail spin.
