That is the same for my dd. She is never really 100%. Maybe 85-90 then gets exposed and it all goes down hill. Will IVIG treat that?

She is on Augmentin 600mg 2x/d. asis her twin brothers...one is and the other on Azith because of an allergy. They all just keep passing it back and forth. We have all been tested and are negative. Although dad and I both battle with chronic sinusitis. This last time (about 2 weeks ago) she and her brothers are VERY slow to recover. And each time she gets infected her symptoms are the same but come out differently....now she has some hyperactivity, her OCD is about her hair instead of getting dressed...etc. Dr. B. said asked to have it done last year. But, again, if we have it done and she is exposed, are you back to square one and if so, they why not continue abx? It seems like the abx are short lived....Azith works for 6 months then we need to change to Augmentin, the back to Azith. Her ASO neg, CBC nml, Lyme neg.

So there is a chance that she could actually regress?

I have been putting IVIG off for nearly a year. My dd71/2 is on Augmentin daily and just tested pos for rapid strep How is that possible? We see Dr. B on Monday. He has rec IVIG. My questions are has anyone had it and HASN'T seen any improvement at all? I am getting very desperate as her symptoms keep increasing. Anxiety is very bad. Been sleeping with me for almost a year. Will not leave a room alone. Self worth is completely gone. My twin boys (3.5) are being tested and most like positive for PANDAS! Low IgM on one and low IgG on the other? Thoughts?

Today there was a major change. Do they regress before they get better?

Hello Everyone Dr. B just changed my daughter from Azithromycin 400mg/day to Augmentin 600mg/2xday. Both her twin brothers are devloping symptoma dn have had recent strep infections. The boys have improved dramatically, but my daughter seems to be going backwards. Has anyone seen this?

I tried the Motrin this last time and she responded wonderfully. The ENT said she could still get strep throat. So, what would be the purpose of a T&A? Her tonsils are always large....maybe strep or other junk just lingering in her tonsils and adenoids? We are waiting for an EMLA script to get more labs..M. Plasma and Lyme. Having a hard time getting it. I will boost the Fish Oil. Thanks for all the advice!!

Anemia....she was really sick with fevers and sore throat (now we know it was strep) lost 15% body wt...she is very small...7 yo and developed heart murmur. Tried steroids...she can't handle them Big guns? IVIG?

Hi I am new to posting to this forum. My daughter is 7 and was dx PANDAS last year. Titers normal. Abx work well. Twin 3 year old brothers with a lot of strep throats. She is on Azith 200mg/day and bumps up to 2xd when the boys are ill. I give her probiotics also. Any other ideas? What does Oil of Oregano, Curcumin and Olive Oil Leaf Extract treat? I also give her Fish Oil supplements. She was at the top of her class last fall (09) and by Christmas was in extra help reading. OCD, anger, hitting, screaming, unable to make a decision (1+ hours) to pick out jammies. We had a really great summer, but then once she went back to school, it's been downhill. We see Dr. B in Stamford, CT. He is suggesting IVIG or Tonsillectomy. ENT says T & A too risky with hx of anemia. We are truly at the end of our ropes with patience. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks. Jennifer
