my daughter shows possitive band 41 for lymes on blood work. doctor said he always sees that with PANDAS kids. meanwhile my child gets violent with every med/supp. we try. nothing helps or makes things worse. she is in very bad shape. someone said they would look further into lymes, but does it really make a difference if its pandas or lymes, since there both treated the same way?

do you know of a lyme specialist that i could contact. thanks so much

my child screams and gets more violent on EVERY medication she takes. including azith. nystatin and probiotics. she gets worse on EVERYTHING. what could be wrong???? i don't know what else to do. are there doctors or specialists that treat hard to diagnos cases. it's just too much. i don't know how much this child and we can take.

Is it common that psych. drugs do not work with PANDAS kids?

Pharmacist said the azith. is what caused the white marks on my girls teeth.

no supplements. i will have 2 check the bottled water she drinks. she is a big water drinker but we use a filtering system usualluy. we have been staying with relatives and she has been drinking the bottles. do they have flouride in them?

no. no pits. she is super obsessed about her teeth. she examines them all the time. they just started recently.

no. her teeth are pretty white. these are bright, white spots and there are lots on her back teeth. she was on celexa lamictal seroquel azith. nystatin and probiotic. wonder which is the culprit. boy does it ever end!!!! now she has migranes too.

This person that recommended this test and the amino acid is really well liked and has helped many children. Not sure what to think.

He did not say. My girl gets very aggressive with lots of stuff. Not much works for her. They were clearly making her violent. The aggression and wildness stopped when we took her off of them. He just said take her off of them. I will ask more questions when I talk to him.

My girl has been pooping like crazy since starting the probiotics, now it's turning into diearrea. Does this go away, or should I back down or stop it? She is taking Klaire detox. I give 25+

she is currently on lamictal...teeny bit of seroquel and melatonin. best she has ever looked. but not that great. i think the probiotics are giving her diarreah and making her poop non-stop. not sure if i should stop it. i did not start the tyrosine yet. i guess it wasn't PANDAS. ugh!

My child was taken off of the azith. and Nystatin. It was making her waaaayyyy to agressive. It was so disappointing. Urine test (checking nuerotransmitter) came back that showed my girl had low dopamine so Scott is putting her on some Tyrosine. I was then told by another doctor that neurotransmitters can not even be tested in the urine. Any comments are welcome.

My child would stand on her head in bed all night long. Firing off really weird thought... attacking the dog... screaming if I did not bring her out to a store at all hours of the night. Things are not perfect, but I see sleep getting a bit better. She is on Azith., Nystatin Probiotic and Melatonin. I was never able to leave her bed at night...now she sleeps by herself in her own room. Not sure if this helps you any. Good luck!!

I think I am seeing that the probiotics are helping her get to sleep a bit earlier. Did others see this with the probiotic?

I definitely think milk and other foods make things worse. Actually every thing I use to feed her made things worse. I thought she was allergic to everything, including the air outside. I did do the caveman diet with her and also I had her on just... turkey, lettuce pears and rice for a week i think, and she looked a bit better but still stuck in her own world, impulsive, racing around the house and never sleeping. I had this child on so many diets, supplements etc... and nothing helped. At ten, when she went to school, she totally rebelled. She use to be such a good listener, but got fed up. Can't blame her. There is no way to talk to her, since every time I say something, she tells me to shut up, becuase there are too many thoughts in her head. Scott said, as soon as we get her feeling better, we will be able to reason with her more. I think I am on the right track with Scott. Thank God!

she only gets these migranes every 2 years or so. the spikes on the eeg are always there. if they were migranes, don't yu think she would be gettimg more of them?

I am wondering if these aren't migranes, ontop of everything else she has going on!!! She gets pain on just one side of her head, the lights really bother her eyes, and she vomits. She never gets headaches other that this.

Once in while, my child will drink some whole milk. She will get a severe headache and then start to vomit. It seems to happen with whole milk only. Do you think this is a migrane? Is it leaky gut, or an allergy? I don't beleive her behavour is due to food, but I believe some foods make things worse. Is there a way to know if this reaction is migranes for sure?

If your child has this... will you let me know what types of symptoms they have?

Thanks very much everyone. She is on azith., Nystatin and probiots. She is finally starting to get tired. She does not rage 24/7, and she is not running into the streets all day long. What a relief!!!

I think after ten long years of nothing helping my girl,... I am seeing some improvement. Thanks Everyone for your help. Guess it was PANDAS all along.

My girl is 11. Is 250mg. considered low for that age?
