Hello All.
I am new to this group and am very very impressed with it. This probiotic subject is timely for me because we are doing some in depth research into probiotics right now to figure out which strains are best for our son (4 yr old suspected PANDAS, definitely OCD/Tic). Regarding one strain of strep probiotic (Streptococcus Thermophilus), there is a technical summary produced by Klaire Labs (where we purchase most of our supplements). Here is a link to the study - give it about 30 seconds to download.

It describes why the S. Thermophilus (which is a strain in one of Klaire's probiotic products) does not contribute/exacerbate the S. Pyogenes/GABHS organism. It may lend some insight about the other non GABHS strains that may be helpful. I have a call into the folks at Klaire to discuss it further. If I learn anything interesting, I will let this group know.
I tend to agree with the other post'ers, if it has the name Strep in it, I fear it!
Good luck and I look forward to more great posts.
