He grunts when hes angry too. His motor tics are the middle finger(figures)He knows hes doing it sometimes he says hes sorry. I know some times the curses are not tics and I can pretty much tell which are which they all seem to pop up when hes either frustrated or he "cant get his words out" he gets stuck alot Dr says its OCD always full of other stuff in his head Im not so sure but hey they are DRs some of thee tics are B B B some are hurled insults he calls the tutor bad names I feel bad shes trying her best he isnt happy doing anything except researching ww11 on his computer He will be 15 in April hes always had some issues but nothing like this its been over 1 year were at the end thats why I ask about the meds so much I have him on buspar and tenex hes also on zithromax from his dan dr we have tried other meds I know theres no magic bullet I would just like the anger and cursing to stop Thanks Faith Melanie

Thanks Im not a fan of medications either I am just at the end of my rope I wish I could just go the natural way but we are so desperate for some relief This kid is so full of anxiety as soon as a situation gets any bit of anxiety his tics come out and they are Fs and Bs and whatever else he can slam at you

(thanks Debbie) met with Dr Chiraboga knowledgeable didnt have the magic pill was kindof hoping she would did say to stay on the buspar and the tenex I think tenex is doing nothing as soon as you ask him anything he gets upset and says b or f Im so sick of this I know thats mean but really I am i cant plan anything because he cant go anywhere maybe should try a nother med any suggestions HELP!!! again

What is the dosage for the steriod burst ? Is prednisone(sp) the best one to use? We are going to Columbia Presp in the city tomorrow to see a neurologist I know she is going to suggest meds not that Im not interested I want a neuro involved Danny is on Zithromax from his DAN dr long term he is great in NJ also Hes on Buspar 20mg and Tenex 30 mg I dont think the tenex does anything but Ill wait and see His tics are verbal and definitly has tourettes I think it started as Pandas and went undiagnosed and now its Tourettes hes 14 now and hey hes getting older He is on home instruction cant go to school right now he also has aspergers puberty really made things worse He has also tried every med Im just not sure if thats the answer if there even is one I would just like somme relief for him it doent seem fair

Dr Triffoletti didnt work out well We did use him but found him diffucult (very,very) to contact he prescribed meds and when it was time to contact him we couldnt Im not sure if it was a bad time for him but Honestly I wouldnt go back blood work was lost It was a disaster I had to wean him off meds by myself Not good I need help now I dont know why help is so hard to find I am tring to get help from chop It seems the wait is so lenghty how can this be I dont understand My child cant go to school cant really go anywhere He is on tenex 3mgs thats seems to be the only med that he can tolarate this stinks so bad I will contact columbia thanks Debbie can I ask what your child is taking that is so helpfull what are his/her symptoms

I was using bonnies vitamines had to stop things got bad I am thinking of starting again I went to the website and noticrd that the site hasnt been updated sicnce 2006 what does thatmean is that bad? Also my son is taking tenex do you think thats ok?

Yes, its called Scarlett Fever. But if the rash occured close to the time you started a new med-I'd sure be checking that out, especially with the prescribing physician. What was the new med? Some are more prone to cause rash than others and in some cases the rash can be a very serious reaction! I saw SF and the pictures are simular especially the ones on the hands but wouldnt the hospital know what that is? He was on the med for about 1 1/2 weeks trileptial this rash happened once before when he started another med we werent sure he did throw up last time How can I find out if it is scarlet fever is there a test? Please help thanks

?i was almost over the whole pandas idea with my so We had a bad experience with a dr in nj who was totally for this treatment and then he diappeared we coulnt contact him anyway dans symptoms have gotten worse his behavior is horrible he started a new med and since has developed a rash we took him to the hospital to see if it was med related it hasnt gone away and the drs arent sure if it was med related anywqay can strep be in a rash?

Does any ones child ever say that when they hear you speak it sound like you are stuttering? My son says when I speak I sometimes sound like I stutter.I do speak quickly but I have heard him say it to others also just wanted to knoow

Can anyone sugest Meds fir tourettes hes already taking Bonnies Vitamines day 10 no luck yey behaviors are bad and hes cursing sooo much He needs meds!!! Willing to try something already tried so many things Abilify no good made him foggy luvox nothing Catapress patch never got anywhere lo dose I think we are going to try tenex is rispadol worth a shot I hear so many negitives any o ne have a positive? Hi Sorry I havent responded back but things have been well not so good 1st Dan isnt on any special diet no except no sugars and artificial (best we can) stuff hes great and then bam not great obsesses and then better the cursing started abouta year ago we went to a behavioral PSYCH and did the whole disapline thing for about 6-8 onths and it got worse (anxiety) then another PSYCH said its tourettes because he uses his middle finger the same time moter and verbal =tourettes anyway we startd with the pandas dx and that went no where we did 3xantibiotics saw less ocd but tics were in full swing He has always had some form of a tic although this is the worst ever its very hard I am willing to try anything I feel so bad for him its causing him so much anxiety I started bonnie vitamines day 4 today hoping thatb will help I have put him on Depakote for the anger because honestly I dont know what else to do comming off the catapress and the luvox not helping I may even try something else I just want to help him God I just want to help him Hes so HF and Im watching him just go down hill Thanks for listening
