Dylan's Mom, Thank you again for the infos! I will be trying the JMT's strep antibody vial on Monday (found out my practitioner does JMT too and so she said she should have it in her kit) and I will check the article you mentioned in your most recent post and will check the strep antibodies obtainable through NAET. Hope it will help me but even if it doesn't, I can check these off my list of things to try!!! Thank you again.

Thank you, Dylan's Mom, for checking with the doctor. I will speak to my practitioner when i see her next. In the meantime, NAET had gotten back to me via email (i had emailed and then did not have patience to wait to hear back so called, and was told they do not have strep antibody vials) and they said they in fact have them in vials. They said they have antibodies for Strep Pyogene, Pneumoniae, Aureaus, Haemoliticus, Beta strep A,B,C,D, Faecalis. I would like to try both the ones you could get from JMT and also the ones from NAET clinic. If you here from your doctor re how I obtain ones for JMT, if you could please let me know. Thank you again for asking your practitioner!!!!! Patty - my practitioner is an acupuncturist and so she does combine NAET with acupuncture, however, I have so far been treated with acupressure only.

Update from my last note: I just called up NAET.com, and spoke to the practitioner at that clinic. They do not have a strep antobody vial (they said it's not something they carry). I was told that if Dylan's Mom's practitioner had it, they must have made one from a sample of the antibody. Dylan's Mom - would you be able to check with your practitioner as to how he/she got the vial and if it's something he/she made, whether another vial could be sold to me or to my practitioner? If it's something he/she had purchased, would you be able to ask the practitioner what the name of the vial is? I am sorry to ask you for all this... I sound so desperate but .. I guess I am!!! I do want to cover all bases as long as I am at it. Thank you...! Flower

Pat, So far, I've gotten treated for sensitivities to Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Sugar, Strep and Vaccines. I am dying to get tested for Strep antibodies but my doctor does not know which one that would be, and I've contacted another doctor who said that the vials will need to be ordered from the main clinic. I am trying to reach NAET.com to see if they can let me know if it's available (for purchase through my doctor) and how much it would cost. I've checked the list of individual vials (list as of 2005) on their web, and I do not see anything that says "Strep antibody/ies" so am wondering what terminology I should be looking for.. Anyway, as of now, I still have my vocal tics (and OCD)... *sigh* On my next visit, I will get treated for Basal Ganglia and eventually yeast, food colorings, etc. I WANT THAT STREP ANTIBODYYYY!! Will keep you posted.

Thank you very much Chemar! I will try the test tomorrow morning!

Dylan's Mom - I had the same question as Patty - my NAET doctor does not have strep b antibody - is that something that was already in your doctor's computer system? Would you happen to remember under what category it was under or what it was called? i am wondering where your doctor found it ... I started the NAET treatment and would like to cover everything while I am at it so even if it does not work, I will know I tried everything. Any info on the strep antibodies would be appreciated. Thank you so much. Flower

Carolyn, Thank you again for your post. Was checking "Victory Over Tourette's Syndrome and Tic Disorders" by Denise Buzbuzian last night and it tells you how to get it tested (Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis), symptoms, and treatments so I will go get it tested soon! Flower

Thank you Carolyn! I have been taking Bontec supplements and I think my tourette is 'better' but I still have a lot of tics and OCD. Been taking lots of inositol too but my OCDs are still bad at times. What i am NOT doing is watching what I eat so it's really my fault Stopped taking coffee and cut back on sugar compared to before but still, I get this craving for sugar and chocolate and just when I think I am doing better, I consume a lot and OCD gets bad. Haven't checked re candida and I will check this site for posts on Candida per your suggestion. Thank you so much for taking the time to write me. Flower

I have OCD and tourette. I also seem to have this phobia towards certain things. If I go to a hotel and the bed linen is a little torn somewhere, I cannot sleep or will be so tense and will avoid that part of the bed that I can't sleep well. If I a see a scissor, I imagine cutting myself (different from self mutiliation I think). Never discussed with neurologist (I've only been to neurologist once, only to get diagnosed for OCD and tourette so I could confirm what I thought I had). When my nail starts growing, I imagine my skin being cut with my nail or my nail stabbing my skin. I noticed recently that I have vocal tics when those thoughts cross my mind quickly, and was also surprised to notice that it happens more frequently than I thought. I am wondering if this is part of OCD because the thought keeps coming back, or, whether it's a phobia and it's a totally different thing...? If anyone has any thoughts on this, would love to hear. Thank you.

I do understand your concern. I wonder about the same thing too. I have not read the book ("Say Goodbye to Illness") yet and so I don't know much myself but yes, there seems to be certain allergies/sensitivities you will have to get treated (they seem to call them the 'basics') before you get to the things you want to get treated for. I just got treated for Vitamin C. Next will be Vit. B, then Sugar, then will treat strep. Although I am hoping this will help me, I've read mixed reviews on the web re NAET treatment, so I've decided to not put too much expectation on this thing. If after treating my strep, if it does not help me with my vocal tics and OCD, I don't know whether I will continue or not. Some other thoughts i've been having - if my tics/OCD does not go away after numerous treamtents, even though I am getting treated for sugar, I cannot have much sugar anyway because excessive sugar kills inositol. If inositol gets killed, my OCD gets bad. So even if allergy to sugar is treated, it won't help me much. If NAET works, I will definitely post here.

Just had my first treatment today (Vitamin C mix) and no mention of cold lasers by my doctor ... However, I just did a search and cold laser was mentioned here. http://www.cnmhealth.com/index.php/2006/03...imination-naet/ ("For younger children and those afraid of needles, cold laser is an option in lieu of the acupuncture") FYI

I've read that Coffee is not good for OCD and that it kills Inositol. But it never mentions tea as being bad. Does that mean it's not necessarily the caffeine that kills inositol but some other things contained in the coffee beans? Or can I drink decaf coffee without reducing effect of the inositol supplements I am taking? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Unfortunately it did not work for me. Maybe I did not try it long enough but i did not see any improvement, and I seem to always get itchy skin from it. I've tried it on multiple occasions. I would start taking it for a few days and i would get skin rash so I would stop, and then after a few weeks or a month, I would try again, and the same thing. So i just decided it's probably not for me.

Thank you very much, Chemar!! I will try the one with taurine!

I've tried looking for Magnesium Lactate online and I only see maybe two brands (one of which seem to have 'color' in their ingredients). Is anyone taking Mag Lactate which they purchase thru online store? Any info appreciated. Thank you. (Realized I've been taking Mag Oxide..!)

I've used this Free & Clear Liquid Cleanser before out of curiosity and it was fine. http://www.natlallergy.com/product.asp?pn=...hcd2=1163042613 No scent, not irritating.

After applying cream, you may want to wear gloves at night time (when going to bed) too. Some pharmacies sell thin cotton gloves. Hope it gets better soon.

Like Chemar wrote, it is part of OCD - I have this obsessive thoughts where I keep bending my left pinky backward. I am testing whether it'll break but of course, I don't go all the way. It makes no sense but that's OCD. When I am taking excessive sugar (which kills inositol - coffee also kills inositol by the way), or when it's close to taking my dosage of Inositol, I have these thoughts. When that happens, I just quickly take it, and it goes away. I also noticed that it DOES make a real difference to me when I also take Vitamin B and Mag/Calc/Zinc tablets properly when taking Inositol. I think it's lets your body absorb inositol better.

I have TS, OCD and Eczema. I never thought of the correlation but I do plan to go see an allergist in August (he's away during month of July). After I find out what I am allergic to and if I see any change in both TS/OCD and Eczema, I will post it here.

Has anyone who's taken 5-HTP had problems such as their skin getting itchy? I've had eczema (on and off in the past) so I may just be having that again but it's suddenly gotten bad in the past week. I may stop 5-HTP to see if that'll make a difference but then it could also be Taurine and L-Carnitine that I've started taking too...??? If anyone has any thoughts/experience, I would like to hear. Thank you.
-
Thank you very much, Chemar! Will start with 50mg per your suggestion.

I am currently taking 15g of Inositol and want to add 5HTP (in addition to Magnesium, Calcium, OPC-3, etc etc that I am taking). What is the proper dosage for it? I am in my late 30s, 120 pounds. Advice would be appreciated.

I did not buy it in powder form but in a regular milk container. It does have this smell and I don't think I can drink it straight (haven't even tried it) but I use it for cereal. (Did not go well with decaf coffee either.) If it's with cereal with banana in it, it's not bad at all.

Thank you again, Kim. My being Japanese, it is quite shocking to learn now that Soy beans aren't all that good for you when we grew up using soysauce and eating dishes with soybeans in every other meal. I will check out the link you gave me. But since reading postings saying Soy Milk isn't good for you, I have stopped taking it as substitute for milk and have been trying both Goat Milk and Rice Milk.
