Ok, so the past few weeks my daughter has put her underwear wrong side outwards? I have no idea what the heck this means, and i hope its just an accident that she does this...But, everyday for the past 3 weeks????

OK, men, close your ears!!! I have worn my underwear inside out for years & years. The seam--I want the smooth side in. It may be a sensory thing where the seam is bugging her. Unfortunately, guy's underwear doesn't have the seams like gal's. Just a possible explanation. (Too embarrassed to sign my name! B) )

I agree, my dd's are very sensitive to how clothes feel. My dd8 needed baggy underwear for a while. Didn't like them to be anywhere near tight.

Hey, at least she's wearing underwear right

Yes, seams or tags may be the issue; we've seen this in the past with our DS and were very glad when Hanes and a couple of other brands finally took to making t-shirts and even underwear with stamped-in tags, rather than sewn in fabric ones.

I think Hanes, Jockey and Victoria's Secret make seamless female panties, too, so maybe you could try those?

seams are known to be a big issue for people with sensory integration dysfunction (aka sensory processing disorder) which many kids with neurological issues have

that, along with those labels, plus the texture of some fabrics can be very irritating to someone with SID!

since my son had occupational therapy when younger, and learned a lot of self help techniques, he seems not to be as bothered by it

a good book and website is The Out Of Sync Child

I'll concur that it is most likely a sensory issue. Our dd went for many weeks without any clothes at all. When she did wear underwear she preferred it tight. Since week 2 post IVIg she has been clothed with only a few rare instances of turning back the pages to the anti-clothing period. Underwear is a big concern for many kids with sensory processing issues.
