philamom Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 How do you post a reply without repeating the initial post? Sorry...how embarrasing!
kimballot Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 How do you post a reply without repeating the initial post? Sorry...how embarrasing! GREAT question! Just hit reply - then highlight whatever you do not want to quote and hit delete! If you leave the thing that says at the beginning AND the part that says at the end - then anything in the middle will be in its own "quote" box so everyone can see who the author is. I hope that helps you (and lots of other folks!)
Kayanne Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 (edited) You can also hit the "Add Reply" box below the dark blue line. That button means a general reply to the thread and will not include quotes. The little light blue "Reply" at the bottom of the text box means a direct reply to the content in that box, and that is why the quotes are included. If you are replying with a quote in the text box, make sure your reply is not within the beginning quote command [ quote ] and end quote command [ /quote ] -- Just remove the spaces that I put in after the beginning brackets and ending brackets. I had to put the spaces in so you could see the actual format commands, and not see this: and end quote command Edited July 29, 2010 by Kayanne
