Kristy S Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 (edited) So I decided to start the process with Dr. K (sent in my 1st check for the consult) and then heard from more than 1 person that If I see another Dr. who shall remain nameless that my chances for insurance coverage are really good. So has anyone acutally used Dr. K and successfully gotten insurance coverage? Oh if you have BCBS please let me know that as well, that's what I have... wondering what my odds are or if it's completely dependant on whether or not she has an 'immune deficiency.' Thanks again! sptcmom Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Hi Kristy yes I did. Ds received IVIG with Dr K in May. We got full insurance coverage for IVIG and very partial for Dr K's services and office consult.
Johnsmom Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 We received coverage for our 1st appt with him and the IVIG procedure but we were denied his IVIG fee. I just found out today so the battle begins! Doug Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 We were able to get a it partially covered. He is a great deal cheaper than getting it done in Colorado by Dr. Tom Smith
