Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone here has been to a naturopath to have their child diagnosed? We are on our second one. The first one was non communicative-she just gave medication to our daughter. We left her because I need communication from the professionals we see. The next person we are seeing seems to be great. Very communicative. She went over everything with me and seemed to pintpoint our daughter to a T. She also gave the remedy to ME to take home and give to our daughter if and when we decided to do it. Compared to the last ND, she is amazing.

My question is has anyone here done homeopathy? I want to believe that it will help but am running low on hope. I'd love to hear your thoughts, stories, etc.

THanks so much!

Before I knew about PANDAS- I worked with a Homeopath in Dallas- she looked at the blood- showed us what was going on- identified bacteria, viruses and other nasty stuff in there and we used Purezyme and Protease to "clean up his blood" we went back and were able to see how much better things looked. Did it fix things- NO but I ls did not know everything. I give him purezyme now- even though we have not been back because I know we are trying to clean up his blood again. I figure it can't hurt.

I also wanted to add- I went to her myself and took the same supplements- It definitely helped me feel more alert, less sluggish- but do I think it will fix the PANDAS stuff- probably not but it can be a complimentary treatment. I also remembered that she game me some homeopathic medicine for him too- don't remember a the time but we were looking at behavioral/ attention issues not PANDAS.

FYI

please remember that homeopathy and naturopathy are not the same thing!

homeopathic remedies involve giving the person minute quantities of the substance that would usually cause the same symptoms they are experiencing

naturopathic remedies may be homeopathic, but are not always so unless specified eg giving supplements is not homeopathy

Thanks Chemar. Yes, we are using HOMEOPATHIC remedies. I'm wondering if anyone else has done this. I'm a little shocked by what she gave us although I understand it. What she gave us was not actually strep as I might have expected.

I do think homeopathy has a sound basis in many areas but also feel great caution is also needed with certain illnesses that may not be areas that classic homeopaths have had experience in

I noticed some other threads here recently cautioning as well, as it seems even the tiniest exposure to strep can have an enormous impact on a PANDAS child

not sure what is in the remedy suggested for your child but again would urge caution....
