IV#4 tomorrow

Iv #4 I hope the results are better than last month Also saw the psychiatrist today she is going to completelyt take danny off of the risperadal He takes .25 x2 and buspar 15mg a day. She gave him a script for clozapan anyone use this? Hea almost 16 and his anxiety is OMG!!! so we will try it on sunday during easter so we can keep a good eeye .

Clozapam? That's a benzo, right? Hope its wonderful for him! Are you going off the risperdal cold turkey or tapering down? I know he's on a fairly low dose, but I know Allie really crashed when we withdrew her last bit...but once she got over it, was much, much better!

My son takes Clonazepam. Is this the same as Clozapam? He is 15 1/2. It helps a little with anxiety. He takes 1 mg at night when he is feeling really anxious. He was taking 1/2 in the AM when he first went back to school after being out for 2 months. it made him a little tired in the AM though. The first time he took it he said, "I'm sooooo relaxed!" Later that night he said, "I'm afraid I won't do my rituals right!" It makes him a little sleepy too. Risperdal didn't do anything for my son either. Good luck with the IVIG. Keep us posted.

We ended up getting Gammunex but our immunologist wanted us to get Gammuguard (the hospital substituted it without asking and she was not happy). She felt the viscocity of the Gammuguard was better and it's IgA levels were less. She actually preferred it over Gammunex.

IV went really well,took about 4 1/2 hrs of gammaguard.No headache and he was craving seafood.We took him to Red Lobster(I dont really like Red Lobster) but thought it would be good because Its loud and incase he ticed none would know LOL

 

Anyway he has been smiling and singing for the past 3 hours Ill see how the weekend goes
