Megs_Mom Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 So, it's a research study, so you can't call it definitive - but a score of 136 on the CamKinase II, indicates that it's likely that your child has PANDAS. Is the primary onset OCD? I'm not sure of your history, but that is my guess with the slightly elevated Anti-Lysoganglioside. You also slightly elevated Anti-Tubulin - no clue what that means, sorry. Your dopamine is all in normal ranges. Your test results nearly mirror ours.l Congrats . Welcome to the PANDAS club. Hopefully, these tests will help you get treatment if you have not already done so. I suggest taking a copy of the research study with you when you show these results to any health care professional. If you search CamK above, you'll find a lot of really smart posts about what all the results mean. But to keep it short & simple - looks like PANDAS (or PITANDS).
peglem Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 Was your child in the midst of an exacerbation when you had the blood drawn?

thereishope Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 The ideal is to have the test done during an exacerbation. Steroids should not preceed the test. Tics as the main symptom, I believe, get higher score than OCD as the main symptom.
EAMom Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 What this does tell you is that your child is likely PANDAS and NOT regular tics (tourettes, etc). Non-pandas tics had CaM kinase of 50-110. Your child was well above that --almost mid PANDAS range.
