I briefly read your blog and wanted to welcome you to the forum.... there are some very educated parents on this site with a wealth of information that you may have already read.

 

I wanted to share a concern: taken from your blog

 

'He has 3 more weeks of the Augmentin and I am thinking of stopping the Zithromax when that ends too because I don't feel comfortable him taking an antibiotic for 1 year. They said it was for brain inflammation but I found put it has no anti inflammatory properties. I did read one article that showed positive results when taken for 1 year but I am just unsure'

 

 

Many, many, many children are on antibiotics for a minimum of one year if not longer. You run the risk of re-exposure to strep and your son's cross reactive antibodies mounting quickly in response potentially creating an even greater episode than the one previous. It is vital to quite to immune system for an extended period of time in order for son to recover especially if he had RF (recommended antibiotics until 25 years of age). If you are interested in more of a homeopathic resolution there is plenty of ways to support the immune system in conjunction with the antibiotics.

this looks like a thread from last month? as I see the original post and SF Mom's reply is dated feb 20th ??

 

if there was just a link and no text with it, it may have been flagged as a spam/promotional link? Was there anything commercial/for sale there?

 

 

ameliaannajensen, perhaps just post it again, or of in doubt as to whether it is allowed, just PM it to the administrator to be cleared first?
